What should I do for my Sweet 16?

So I'm gonna be 16 July 30th (so EXCITED!!!), and we're trying to figure out where to go for it. Something I really want to do is go to Mall of America with a friend. I live in Wisconsin, so it's not like it'd be a huge trek, and that place is frickin awesome. Sadly, my dad doesn't want to do that because shopping can get expensive fast, but he hasn't totally ruled it out. Still, I think it'd be cheaper than going on a trip, like my dad mentioned a cruise on the Mississippi. Smaller things like seeing the dancing caballos in Lake Geneva have been mentioned, and that is something I've always wanted to do. Going to some huge fancy bar-restaurant in Madison called the Nitty Gritty has been brought up (and it's what my dad is really pushing for), and it sounds fun, but I'm not nuts about the idea. What do tu think I should do to decide? o any ideas we haven't thought of that'd be fun? Thanks!

My birthday is on July 30th, too, but I didn't have a Sweet 16 cuz it's más of a girl thing, wish I had one, though.

All of those plans sound awesome, but if I were to suggest something I would suggest going to Put-In-Bay island. I've been there twice and it is probably the best place in Ohio. You'll have to take a ferry ride to get there, though, but if that's not a problem tu should totally go there. Here's some information on it if tu wanna know más link

That place sounds awesome! And I amor history, so all the better ^_^ tu sound just like one of my friends. He's also exactly a año older than me, and we're both sophomore-gonna-be-juniors. Summer birthdays, you're always really old o really young XD

Yeah, I'm gonna be a junior siguiente year, too, and I have a bunch of friends who are a lot younger than me and it makes me feel really old XP

I'm the youngest por far in my group of friends, so I get treated like a child quite a bit :P Oh well, they're laughing cuz they hit 16 first, but I'll be laughing when I hit 40 last!

That's why I'll probably decide on the horses. It's closeish and cheap compared to everything else. I just wanna make everyone happy, and my parents really want that restaurant, sooo... IDK what to do.

For the cruise, yes, but we went on one in the Bahamas with my dad's boss and co-workers (Christmas present, I guess), so it'd probably be a disappointment compared to that one. The thing with MoA, is it's más than a mall. The place is so huge that it has a theme park! Still, I see your point. I'm más for the horses, but we'll see how it turns out.

tu went on a cruise in the Bahamas? Wow... Well, I don't know about the mall idea still - not really my cup of té - but I think tu should pick what tu want to do. It is your birthday, after all.

Isn't the Mississippi meant to be really beautiful? I wouldn't know - I live several thousand miles away from it!
