Do tu think that navidad has become to commercial?

well, first of all, chocolates and flores are a way of mostrando someone tu care, i think they're pretty cool, and i like getting chocolates and flowers. I don't see anything wrong with people buying más stuff, tu can be thankful and buy stuff *shrug* im jus' sayin XD
and to answer your question, i think navidad is just commercial enough, it's pretty cool, and besides, what's wrong with being commercial anyways? :P
i think people should focus on real problems and not "if holidays are too commercial"

Christmas, no. I think all the stuff and and sales just help get people into the holiday spirit! tu know, give the gift of giving and all. The corazón of navidad is still about religion and/or family (depending on your views), and spending time with the people that tu love.

I think because holidays like Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, Father's día etc. aren't religious they are más commercial because companies can take advantage of them more.

I have to agree with you. Presents are great and all, but if tu think about it, más often than not, the feeling just isn't there.
And then tu have all those non christians celebrating christmas, a día in which the name litterally means 'a celebration of jesús Crhist.' I'm not saying they shouldn't get presents, presents for all I say, but navidad has sort of changed into a secular holiday.
Oh well, I'll celebrate the life of christ on my own terms, that's más my style anyway.

Christmas, yes. I hate how it's all about how many presents tu get, and how much money was spent. I hate that decorations are put in shops three months before December. It's meant to be a family holiday. It's meant to be about spending time with the people tu love.
