my mom wont let me have my cell on school days?

k. so im getting a new phone...FINALLY!! im tutoring my brother 5 days a week for 2 hrs a día at $5/hr. thats $50 a week, so in about 2-3 weeks ill have my new phone. im really responsible and i have had straight a's all año this año (i was in 6th grade, now going to 7th, im 12) ive never had an average percentage lower than a 97. im going to be in algebra 1 in 7th grade, and im in the 99 percentile for both lectura and math eogs. siguiente año ill be raking in high school credit already. im really basically, a 'genius' as my friends and family call me, responsible, obedient, sweet, voted most likely to become president. i was accepted into this national junior honor society leaders camp when i was 8. i deserved my phone! with unlimited texting!

but, my mom says i can use my phone all summer whenever i want and on weekends during the school year, but she dicho im not allowed to take my phone to school and im not allowed to use it on weekdays! i really seriously dont know why. we discussed it and i assured her i wouldnt be texting during school, and she dicho she didnt care. i told her i wouldnt lose my phone at school either. she told me she didnt want me distracted with a phone and texting on school days when im supposed to be doing homework. she also added that i already get to see my friends at school so theres no point of talking to them again afterschool. but some of my friends wont be in my classes and some of them are moving away! so texting is my only option.

is there any way i can convince my mom to let me use my phone on school days and to let me bring it to school? (she gets pissed really easily)

thanks:)

Listen, I'll tell tu one thing. I was so sure I wouldn't lose my phone at school. I kept it in my bag most of the time, not even my blazer. Then one say it vanished, I don't know how, but it did.

I've gone 3 months without a phone and I'm getting a new one this week. And tu know something? I haven't missed it. Not at all. It's actually been good for me not having a phone. I'm not a typically good student. Most of the teachers hate me, but the ones that like me amor me, I'm good at most subjects but I can be very argumentive if I don't agree with the teacher's actions. I'm not the sort of student you'd expect to admit that it's been good not having a phone, I'm really not. But it has, so I'm not going to hide anything.

Other ways to keep in contact with your friends is the internet, facebook? I know tu must have the internet, tu have fanpop. :L
However, I do think that it would be reasonable for tu to be able to have it after school, I see no problem with that.
I'm not going to encourage tu though to persist to have it in school. tu can go ahead, but I don't want to be the one to help tu when I know what can happen. Believe me, phones are a big distraction in class. Sometimes the temptation can be a little too much, especially when everyone has theirs out.

I do hope high school goes well for tu though, so I wish tu luck with that! :)

Maybe since your grades are so high, she doesn't want tu distracted por your phone during school days so your averages won't drop. It's understandable, but a little over doing it. Maybe she'll loosen up if tu keep slightly saying something about it every now and then. Just call them on the inicial phone.

1) at 12 I didn't even have a ipod so why should tu have a cellphone.
2) Why do tu even need to take it to school?
3) Stop being so dramatic, and don't tu have a inicial phone, o is it a crime to use it.

I could whine and rant about how my mom isn't going to let me go on the computer on week days if my grades don't raise but what would the point be? A buck of strangers can't earn me the privilege back.

Honestly I can't help tu fanpop isn't the place to mope about your moms rules.
