I have to agree here hun, who the hell cares what other people think?
If your corazón is telling tu this boy is the one then tu should go for it and if you're friends can't be happy for tu and put their feelings aside to let tu be happy then i'm sorry but they are not true friends and you're better off without him.
Just because he sings songs from the '50's and '60's and knows lines from estrella trek (so do i - live long and prosper) doesn't make him any less of a man o a friend. It just means he's interested in different things that some people my find 'un-cool'.
To be honest if tu really amor this boy tu will sacrifice a few friends who probably won't be around forever anyway, and sacrifice your popularity for love. A little bit of teasing won't hurt tu hun, but missing out on a chance like this could.
After all a few months from now when tu and him being a couple become old news they'll get bored and let up. Trust me, i've been through the same thing. yes it's annoying, frustrating and upsetting but when tu realise that tu stood up for yourself and what tu believed in it will all get better :)

I think that if tu truly care about him, tu should go out with him. tu amor him for who he is, so why should it matter what other people think? I totally understand that it really sucks to be made fun of, but tu shouldn't let other people suck tu in to the conformity of being someone who isn't really you. You've been really good friends, yes? If tu go out, the teasing may be slightly worse at first, but people will get over it soon enough.

So don't let other people's nastiness drive tu o your friend away from being happy. Ignore the nasty kids if tu can, and soon they will get bored and leave tu alone.

If they seriously tease because of who he is, they obviously aren't respectful and tu don't need people like that in your life. Just ignore them, and once they see tu couldn't give less of a care, they'll forget it and mover on.
