Running through the alleys, Ellie clung onto her soaked trench coat. Her breath was slightly raspy as she pushed through the pouring rain.

Zane lit up a cigarette, putting it between his lips. He inhaled slowly as he leaned against the small pub; hands stuffed into his pockets.

Julian sat in her dark room, staring out the window as the rain drummed against it. She sat with perfect posture as she had been taught and just watched the rain.

Trevon walked down the sidewalk, his hand stuffed into his pockets and his hood pulled up to cover his face from the hammering rain.

"Hey, get back here!" A voice roared behind her.
Ellie slightly looked back at the man who was chasing her down. She wasn't watching where she was going and ran face first into someone in front of her.

Zane slightly coughed and kicked at the ground before continuing to walk.

Trevon grunted as she bumped into him.

Julian got up and went outside.

Ellie fell back onto her butt and scathed her hands. Oh, how she wished they were cut off, but it did sting like a bitch. She quickly got up and looked back. They were gone.

Zane cursed under his breath as the rain drowned out his cigarette. He grunted and threw it onto the ground.

"Are you okay?"

Julian pulled her hood up as she walked, taking in the cool air and breathing it out in a soothed sigh.

"H-Huh?" Ellie looked up at him, then down at her hands, still thinking about what had happened before. She swallowed hard, taking a step back. "I'm fine."

Zane pushed his blonde locks out of his face.

"Why were they chasing you?"

Julian stared up at the dark sky as she walked.

(Power mimicry&absorption. Which means if anyone has any physical contact with her skin, she can have their abilties/memories for a period of time.)
"That isn't any of your buisness."

Zane bumped into Julian as he was pulling another cigarette. "Oh shit, sorry."

"Excuse me for trying to be considerate."

"Oh that's alright."

"You're excused."

Zane nodded, pulling out his cigarette.

Trevon rolled his eyes and walked past her.

"Mind if I have one? I just recently ran out and haven't had a chance to buy more."

Ellie sighed and folded her arms across her chest. "Wait." Her back still towards him.

"Oh, sure. Take one." Zane held out his packet, one sticking out.

Trevon stopped and looked back over his shoulder.

"Thanks." Julian reached for one but instead it flew into her hand. She winced slightly.

"The.. Reason why those guys were chasing me is because.. because I put one of their friends into a coma. I don't know exactly how, but it happened after he kissed me, and then all of the sudden I start seeing things and I end up knowing how to run faster, and dodge the guys after they tried tackling me." Ellie replied monotone.

Zane's eyes slightly widened, he blinked and looked at her. "You one of them?"

Trevon looked into her mind.

"One of what?"

Ellie turned, looking at him. "What are you doing?"

"Those.. Mutants?"

Trevon blinked then looked into her eyes. "Nothing."

Julian sighed. "I prefer not to be called a mutant."

Ellie looked a little unconvinced, but since when did she care about some guy she didn't know? She stuffed her hands into her trenchcoat. "Er, right."

"Well, it is the truth. We're different from the others, am I correct? Therefore, we're mutants."

"Well, I guess I'll see you around Ellie." He turned and walked off.

Julian lit up and took a long smoke.

"Wait," In reflex, Ellie grabbed onto his arm, but since he was wearing his jacket he was unharmed. "How did you know my name was Ellie?"

Zane watched her.

"There's a lot information in that mind of yours."

"I guess..."

Ellie raised her eyebrows. "Don't tell me.. You're one of.. of those people with those abilities?"

"Here, give me that. It's not good for you." He reached for the cigarette.

"Are you?"

Julian jerked her hand back. "It's no good for you either."

Ellie looked down at her hands, then up at him. "I.. I guess I am."

"Give it." Zane's eyes slightly flickered a dark black.

"I thought so."

"Why?"

"Look I don't really appreciate some guy I don't know looking into my head.."

"Because. Either you do, or I'll make you."

Trevon shrugged slightly. "My apologizes."

Julian narrowed her eyes and held it out to him.

Ellie slightly swallowed, her mouth was completely dry and her stomach growled. She hadn't had anything to eat for hours.

Zane smirked and took the cigarette and flicked it onto the ground, crushing it with his toe.

"You seem hungry. When was the last time you ate?"

Julian rolled her eyes.

"A few hours ago." Ellie licked her lips, making them glossy.

"What's your name?"

"Come on, I'll get you something to eat."

"Julian. Or you can call me Jewel."

"Really? I mean.. You barely know me." Ellie bit her lip, looking up at him.

"Jewel, nice ring to it," Zane stuffed his hands into his pockets. "I'm Zane."

"So?"

"Nice to meet you."

Ellie sighed. "Fine."

"Yeah,yeah. Back at'cha."

"Come on." Trevon started walking.

Julina tapped her foot.

Ellie followed behind, slightly hesitant.

"Hm?" Zane looked to her. "Oh, well.. See ya' later, Jewel."

"What do you like to eat?"

"See ya around." Jewel walked off.
