THE luxurious South African home where the late Princess Diana holidayed is being offered for sale for almost $12 million.

Diana often holidayed at the property, known as Tarrystone, in the Upper Constantia in South Africa.

The main home and three separate guest cottages are on more than 8000 sq m of land.

The current owner has redesigned and modernised in the interior of the home, although marketing agent John Phillips of Harcourts Luxury Property Selection said the room Diana favoured had been preserved in the style it was when she stayed.

The living rooms have double-volume ceilings, French chandeliers and marble floors.

There are four bedrooms in the main house and five bedrooms between the three cottages which each have their own kitchen, living and dining areas.

The three guest cottages have five bedroom suites between them and each cottage has its own kitchen as well as living and dining area.

“An incomparable estate of such high quality has never been seen outside of Europe,” Mr Phillips said.
