It has been a decade since Prince of tenis (Tennis no Oujisama) came in the market and caught a lot of fans. Anyone who watched this crazy anime became addicted to it and made its fans amor tenis itself. Now, we narrowed down the lista on why we amor (or why we are addicted) this anime-sport.
On the parte superior, arriba ten is the ever improving Inui Juice. No kidding, the jugo, jugo de itself made every practice a nightmare. With its out-of-this-world taste and lotsa nutrients, the so-called jugo, jugo de forced each and every player to improve in order not to drink the evil ‘j’. Indeed, the jugo, jugo de has done a big role on making the regulars (and even non-regulars) tougher than they used to be.
On the ninth spot of this lista is Kawamura’s sushi. Of course, who doesn’t want to eat such scrumptious sushi acclaimed for its superb taste and quality? The sushi made por Kawamura Sr. was considered the best in Japan, so that clearly means Kawamura’s sushi should be on this list.
Coming down to our siguiente entry, are the players’ techniques. The eighth spot is where the gravity-defying and totally unpredictable shots lie. Twist serve and split-step maybe true on the amazing world of tennis, but all other techniques that can be seen in the series are just plainly imaginary. The techniques such as Koori no Sekai (World of Ice), Hakugei (White ballena lob), Drive B and much más can’t be possible, as I may say and completely beyond the laws of Physics.
Here goes the characters’ catchphrase on spot seven. As cool as the players saying it are their catchphrases, in exception to Yanagizawa (what’s up with his ‘dane’ and pato lips?). Tezuka-buchou ‘Yudan sezu ni ikou’ (Don’t let your guard down), Echizen’s ‘mada mada dane’ (You still have lots más to work on) and Atobe’s ‘Ore-sama no bigi yoi na!’(Be awed por my prowess) are almost mouth-shutting when heard. Plus, they don’t even care how people react to their infamous quotes.
The spot number six, is dado to no less than its creator, Konomi Takeshi-sama. This genius mangaka was born June 26 in the año of our Lord 1970. This fandom will not exist if it’s not because of him. So as a tribute, the sixth spot is for him.
Reigning on the fifth spot are the RikkaiDai emperors. The emperors, namely; Yanagi Renji, Sanada Genichirou and Yukimura Seiichi are best paired with their signature techniques. Of course, there would be no Inui and his jerk stuff without his former doubles partner Yanagi. Rikkai wouldn’t be as strong as it was without the help of their Fuku-buchou and there will be no exciting ending for the series if Yukimura wasn’t there to pull out the true strength of our young protagonist. In addition to that, they’re Seigaku’s most formidable opponent. So why not put them on the fifth spot?
Going on with our fourth spot are the OSTs in the series. For Jpop lovers, the POT themes such as Driving Myself, Make tu Free, Dream Believer, Kakaeta Kiseki, Across my Line and much más is a sure hit. Echizen’s seiyuu, Minagawa Junko-san, sang almost half of their songs, which garnered many fans because of her ‘nearly-male’ voice.
As for the third spot, we can safely say that the Golden pair is fit for it. With their synchronization like no other, the Golden Pair has proven their worth being the ‘Golden Pair’ themselves. Also, their bond as partners truly is awesome. If they were real and play tenis nowadays, they would indestructible. Surely, they would be the best doubles partners in the whole wide world.
And for the segundo spot is no other than, the mighty action of tenis in extreme. The series is packed with tenis action one would really enjoy in ages. Believe me, many viewers of this anime doesn’t have any of slightest interest in the sport called T-e-n-n-i-s. But after watching the show, más than three quarters of them happened to be addicted not on the mostrar only, but on the sport involved as well. According to japón tenis Association (JTA), the popularity of the dicho sport increased when the anime was aired and became a hit series in Japan. They now pronounce Echizen Ryoma as an icono that made tenis popular enough all over the Land of the Rising Sun.
Finally, on the first and number one spot, are the nine regulars of Seishun Gakuen. Along with their strikingly good looks and fair guts, Prince of tenis wouldn’t be as good as ever without them. Kawamura’s burning power, Inui’s Data skills, Kaido’s tenacity, Ooishi’s precision, Momoshiro’s high jump, Kikumaru’s flexibility, Fuji’s counters, Tezuka’s discipline and the rookie Echizen’s main focus of tenis sense made the series a whole lot exciting every episode. Each team member lies and depends on one another, especially when the National tournament came. One’s strength became everyone’s strength and one’s failures made everyone stronger than they could’ve imagined. Highly remarkable is their story and their triumph could be a history.
The anime and the manga may end, but the ‘it’ left por the series will surely remain in our hearts.
That’s the parte superior, arriba ten reasons why we amor Prince of Tennis. Ja ne!
