May, Sapphire. Heck, I even chose torchic in Sapphire version. The cute chick seems feminine to me.

Ash's Snivy has shown that it can so be a female with it's charm and appearance.

The main contest here is between Chikorita and Torchic for me. But when I think of Chikorita I always imagine a female Pokémon. I guess I'll pick Chikorita.
