I understand that everyone likes different shippings, but have tu ever seen those fans that are so into shipping that they skip part of the book? The ones that the first time the go through the book they just look for hints of their OTP (One True Pairing)?
I have a few things that annoy me about this:
1. It's an action story with some romance.
I know people say this a lot, but if tu look it up por genre it's not a romance. I'm not saying there should be no romance in it, I'm saying don't get to influenced por the romance tu forget the plot.
2. The relationships influence the plot.
Given, they aren't always romantic, but relationships influence a lot of endings in Riordan's books.
For example, Luke's bond with Annabeth is what snapped him out of Kronos' control and saved them all. Percy being grounded to mortality por Annabeth made him able to become invincible.
3. Logic.
I know it's a book, but I'm okay with almost every shipping as long as there is some logic to it.
Some excuses for shippings aren't well thought through dado the circumstances.
Example: Someone once told me that 'Rachel and Percy would make a good couple now because she is the oracle'...but if she's the oracle she has to remain a madien which would greatly effect what they could do in the future.
Again, I'm más of a canon person, but as long as tu have some logic.
In summary, don't focus so much on the romance that tu don't care about the plot anymore.
