I believe she does it on purpose to irritate him!! Sheldon even noticed in one episode and he was like "what? everybody knows that that's my spot!!" And also it might be a realization of her subconscious desires for him! Who can forget the scene in which she was hooking up with Leonard and was like "let's roll over to Sheldon's spot"!! I suspect a fantasy there and not with her little boy-toy!!
