honestly they dont havr it in them to be JUST friends..they were never just friends and they dont look alike..the only reason they seemed alike in season4 is because lucas looked like a barbie in season 4..they didnt look similar in any other season. Brucas isnt a plausible match because lucas is too involved in peyton and brooke can never trust him to be alone with peyton..not after the first two tries at the relationship ended because of peyton..even when her and luke were only friends the second time around.

Leytoners on the other hand are a lot less agressive and not that caught up in the whole BL vs. PL war.
Besides that it's pretty logical that the average oth-fan favors leyton above brucas.. just because the storyline favors them..
