The collective squeal of excitement that erupted when The CW announced Chad Michael Murray would return to One árbol colina during the ninth & final season could be heard from California to, well, árbol Hill. And now, for the first time, the actor (who left OTH in season six) reveals exclusively to TheInsider.com why he decided to play Lucas one más time!
"The fans have loved this mostrar and rooted for every character throughout its run," Chad Michael Murray tells TheInsider.com. "I know how important Luke's return is for our fans and wanted to give them one last ‘Lucas Scott’ moment. Luke's return is for them."
But while he's coming back for the fans, Chad did have one simple request for creator Mark Schwahn: "I think we just need one last look at Luke’s heart. Character wise, this is Mark’s story and Luke will live the journey he sees fit."
Reportedly, that journey features prodigal son Lucas returning to his hometown after Haley reaches out for help. But fans can find out for sure when Chad Michael Murray's return to One árbol colina airs in early 2012.

One árbol colina rep is now confirming what I first hinted at in Ask Ausiello: The perra is back!
Danneel Harris has closed a deal to reprise her role as pot-stirrer Rachel Gatina in at least seven episodes siguiente season, beginning with eppy 7.02.
Harris made her árbol colina debut as Brooke's high school nemesis in season 3 but wasn't made a series regular until season 4. She was written out in season 5 after only a handful of episodes, an apparent victim of the show's four-year flash forward.
In other árbol colina news, the last of siguiente season's new contract roles has gone to Nuevo 90210 grad Jana Kramer. She'll play Alexis, a model who becomes the new face of Brooke's clothing line. As previously reported, Lipstick Jungle's Robert Buckley and relative newcomer Shantel VanSanten are also joining the cast as Nathan's sports agent and Haley's sister

A reciente Peyton storyline will completely rock the Peyton we’ve known for years into a darker Peyton. She’ll do incredibly unexpected and inappropriate things to the people around her. Not Brooke beat up Scary, but Jenny Humphrey rebel scary.
