Note: hola guys! I haven't updated for a month! I am surely terrible, but I have been going through exams and other stuff and I just didn't have time at all! I am sorry I made tu guys wait, but trust me, this chapter will be long and probably not that exciting, but this is just the beginning ;) xx

Lucy woke up to find herself sleeping in her cama in Rebeka's guest room. She stood up in a sitting position rubbing her eyes to get a better vision of the view around her. She saw Kathy sleeping in the other cama of the room and she looked tired too, after all the escritura they did last night and staying up all night, all three of them were exhausted.

"So what are tu guys doing this early? I mean not even Mr. and Mrs. Robertson are awake." Asked Lucy even though she knows the answer.

"....Guys, I have been thinking..Don't get mad at me but I was thinking all night about what will happen if we win and I couldn't help but getting worried." dicho Rebeka after a long silence.
"I mean, just think about it! To make this actually work, we'd have to lie to everyone we know! Lucy has already lied to her mom and told her it was an educational trip to England. And thanks to that, she got in major problems with her dad and I'd have to lie to my parents too and Kathy's parents would probably kill her! IF we win, it would change our lives, in a good way and a bad way too...I don't wanna spoil everything but we have to think about this." She continued in a worried tone.
Lucy looked at her and too bad, Rebeka was absolutely right.
"Look Rebeka, I agree with everything tu said! tu are completely right..But still, we made our choice, well I made mine. I know it'll cause me lots of problems, but I am ready to face them all for the boys..If tu guys thought it was a bad idea all along, maybe tu shouldn't have entered the contest." Lucy dicho honestly.
"No! Its not like we didn't wanna do it! We made our choice, cos we wanted it to happen so badly and we wanted to be with you, we didn't want tu to go through it alone! We are your best friends, Lucy and not just cos of that! I mean our biggest dream would probably come true! We wouldn't have missed this chance." dicho Kathy.

"I know what it feels like, Rebeka but if tu are convinced its the right thing to do, then great! What about you, Kathy? What are tu gonna do?" Asked Lucy after turning to face Kathy.
"I don't know! I really don't! My dad would understand, I mean if I told him its just a school contest but I don't know about mom! She is one of the most strict moms ever! Kind of like your dad." She dicho pointing at Lucy.
"And Eric too. He will not overreact but he'll dislike the idea." She added sadly.
Lucy's corazón kind of jumped when Kathy mentioned Eric. Her 'boyfriend' o that's how she thought he is. She could still remember the last awkward call they had together and she was just..Sad about it. It was like they were being torn apart. She kind of expected that though. Long distance relationships rarely work out.
"But you'll have to tell her! Traveling without telling her would actually make things worse!" Replied Lucy shaking off her thoughts about Eric.
"I know that..I will tell her! I was actually planning to when we get inicial tonight."
"You guys will be staying for one night?" Asked Rebeka with a little frown.
"Yes. I'd amor to stay más but mom dicho one night only." Replied Lucy sadly.
"But we could still help each other with the artículos through cellphone o internet chat..I thought of logging into twitter tonight." Suggested Lucy.
"Alright! That would be great!" Replied Rebeka cheerfully.
"I will go get us some brindis, pan tostado for breakfast. I am starving!" dicho Lucy then walked out of the room.
On her way to the kitchen, she could see Emily in her room with her devious grin. Now she is surely planning something and it can't be good. Lucy stopped for a while to hear what Emily was saying, she was talking on the phone with someone.
"Oh yes! tu might not believe it but its the truth. I felt weird about it too but it can't be good!" She dicho on the phone.
What was Emily talking about? Could she have probably knew about the contest? But maybe its another person, being her bitchy self, she surely hated lots of people and not just Rebeka and her friends.
Lucy ignored her and went to the kitchen, grabbed some three bowls of cereal carefully so that she doesn't drop them and walked back towards Rebeka's room.
"I am back with the cereal." Lucy dicho as she walked in slowly.
"Good! I was gonna start chewing Rebeka's pillow!" dicho Kathy sarcastically.
"Ha ha..You are so funny." Rebeka dicho sarcastically too, mocking Kathy.
Then they all ate their cereal silently. Lucy was worried about Emily and whatever she was planning for. She wanted to tell Kathy and Rebeka but they seemed too confused to be worried about anything else. Besides, she could be just imagining. Even if Emily is planning something evil, it doesn't necessarily has to relate to Rebeka.
Then at the afternoon after a quiet lunch, Lucy and Kathy decided to stick with Rebeka and help her tell her mom about the contest the way they planned, cos they knew Rebeka and she'd probably panic too much on her own, cos she is not a very good liar and she mostly hates lying to her parents, o anyone.
They saw Mrs. Robertson in the kitchen, Rebeka was worried and she looked like she was planning her words in her mind. Lucy encouraged her to walk in and she did, while biting her nails. She always did that when she was nervous. And it made her nails look awful.
"Um..Mom? Can we..I mean..Can I talk to tu for a minute?" Rebeka asked nervously.
"Oh sure, dear! What is it?" Her mom asked sweetly.
"Well..I want..Well..I don't know how to say it to tu in a..Right way but..Um.." She dicho then sighed.
"Mom, I will just let it out to you! There's this contest held at our school, a big one. And if we win, we'd be able to go to England and tu know...Learn..There..Uh..And I entered, along with Lucy and Kathy..I am not sure we'll win but I just wanted to know if tu are o.k with it." She dicho then let our her breath comfortably.
"Honey, calm down! Why are tu so nervous?! I am o.k with it! In fact, its a great idea of the school to hold such a contest, I mean yeah you'd be traveling to another country, but at least you'll go to learn. I am totally o.k with it! I am actually hope tu girls would win." Her mom replied sweetly.
All three of them sighed happily. And Rebeka felt so happy. She hated the fact that she didn't tell her mom the exact truth but at least she was o.k with it.
"Oh thank tu so much, mom! tu are the best, I swear." Shouted Rebeka then ran towards her mom in a big hug.
"Honey..You are squashing me..And no problem! tu know I'd never be against anything that has to do with education. This could help tu get into a good college when tu grow up." She dicho after Rebeka pulled away.
"Uh..Yeah! I know that! College...." Rebeka replied awkwardly.
"Well thanks mom! We will go ask dad and if he agrees too then..Perfect!" Rebeka added then they all walked out of the cocina happily.
"Its going pretty good." Lucy whispered into Rebeka's ear on their way to Mr. Robertson's office room.
"I know!" Rebeka dicho cheerfully.
"Hey dad!" dicho Rebeka cheerfully. Apparently after everything went well with her mom. She doesn't need to tense about her dad. He was a kind guy, so he'll surely agree.
"Hey pumpkin!" Her dad replied cheerfully.
"Dad! I told tu not to call me that anymore!" Rebeka replied in an angry whisper, turning a little red.
"You shouldn't be embarrassed! tu are my little girl."
"O.k, dad. Well we came here to ask tu something. But don't worry, its not really a big deal." She dicho assuring her dad it was nothing cos he worries TOO much.
"...O.k, what is this tu want to tell me?" He asked calmly.
"Hmm..There's this contest held at school. Me, Kathy and Lucy entered and if we win, which I am not really sure about.." She dicho with no confidence. Lucy really hated it that Rebeka wasn't confident. Cos Lucy was very confident they would win.
"But if we win, we'd go to England and stay there for three weeks....Le..Learning, yes learning. And I just wanted to know if tu agree. We already asked mom and she is totally o.k with it! And the teacher told us we'd be safer than ever, even bodyguards will probably protect us." Rebeka continued.
Her dad was silent for a few seconds. Apparently calculating Rebeka's words in his mind and thinking.
"I don't mind, dear. As long as its ALL about education and nothing else...Then alright." He dicho flashing them a smile.
"Uh..Yes, dad! Of course its all about education and...Meeting new people.." She dicho winking at the girls.
"But thank tu sooo much, dad! tu can't imagine how much this means to us!" She added and gave him a hug. Then all three of them started walking outside Mr. Robertson's office room.
"Good luck, girls!" He shouted.
"Thanks!" They all shouted back with wide smiles across their faces.
Lucy was incredibly happy that Rebeka's parents were happy about the idea and even encouraging! Even though they lied about SOME details but still, this made them less worried about what's coming next. She wished things wouldn't get worse between her and her dad and that nothing would be too awkward between them when she talks to him tonight. She will though, she has to. She can't anything ruin this for them, now that Rebeka's parents are not something they are gonna worry about.
Rebeka wasn't that much worried now, she was much más relaxed cos lying to her parents was what worried her the most. But then there's Lucy's problems. She didn't know if the talk she is gonna have with her dad might change the way he is thinking o even make him realize how she was thinking. Her boyfriend that was barely in her life anymore. It was like they were living separate lives, which was true. She was tired of how things were not only awkward but messed up between them. She wanted to think más clearly about him. About everything. Which will probably be when she goes inicial in a couple of hours.
She went into the guest room to pack her pajama and toothbrush and all her other stuff into her small backpack.

"Are tu sure tu guys want to leave? I really want tu to stay with me!" She dicho sadly.

"O.k, guys. If that's what tu guys want." Replied Rebeka with a cute smile.
After they dicho goodbye to Mr. And Mrs. Robertson and Rebeka, Lucy and Kathy went outside to go to their homes. Kathy took a cab cos her house was far away, while Lucy's was a few streets away, so she walked back inicial to be received por her mother's cheerful smiley face.
"LUCY! I missed tu dear! We were just about to have dinner, come in!" She dicho happily.
"Hey mom!" She greeted her mom with a smile but not that cheerful. Her mind was really packed with thoughts.

"Which reminds me. There's something I need to talk about with the both of you." She added a but nervous.
Her mom and dad looked at each other then looked back at her.
"What is it, sweetie?" Her mom asked worried.
"Its no big deal! Trust me, you'd think its lame. But to me, its important." She said.
"There's this..Contest held at my school..And dad please don't rush and disapprove! Let me finish." She protested before her dad could open his mouth.
"Its..Well its very big! And it could change my life. I entered with both Rebeka and Kathy so if I win, I wouldn't be alone. And we'd go to England and stay there for 3 weeks if we win..And..I just wanted to know if tu guys agree..But first, please understand how important this is to me. It could be the beginning of something big in my life! tu know I generally hate contests so I wouldn't have entered if it didn't mean so much to me..So please, think before tu tell me what tu guys think, please!" She dicho nervously.
Her mom and dad kept exchanging looks that she couldn't tell if they were good o not. She knew they were worried about her but still, she was 16 and she was gonna be 17 really soon. She is old enough to take care of herself.
"As for me..I don't mind! I actually hope you'd win, honey. It sounds like it means so much to tu and I know tu always wanted to go there so..I'd be a terrible mom if I dicho no, so..Really..Go for it!" Her mom dicho with a smile.
"Really? Thank tu so much, mom! tu can't imagine how much it makes me happy to hear that from you. Now dad, its up to you. Please understand this is important to me. But still, tu are my dad..I'd respect it if tu dicho no." She knew she was kind of lying to herself but still, she knew treating her dad well was the only way of getting his approval. He needs to realize that her dreams are too important to her and they are not just teenage fantasies.
"First, I am sorry for our fight a couple of days ago. I completely overreacted and I broke you, cos I wanted to destroy one of your biggest wishes just to protect you. To be a good father. But I did the opposite. Good fathers encourage their children to achieve their dreams and follow them till they come true. And I wasn't doing that. So, I am sorry." He dicho in a sad tone, and he was about to continue but Lucy interrupted him.
"I am SO sorry as well, dad! I dicho I hated tu and I shouted and yelled. And I overreacted too. I should've realized tu just wanted to do what's best for me and protect me. Good girls don't yell at their dads and say they hate them. I was actually a terrible daughter. I am sorry too. tu actually were doing what dads do, tu wanted to make sure I stay seguro so tu really got nothing to apologize for." Lucy dicho biting her lip pushing the tears away. She was so guilty about treating her dad badly. But she hated crying so she listened to him quietly.
"Well, yes. We were both wrong, I gotta admit. But still, I was terrible to you. I actually never thought about how tu possibly felt about how I treated you. It'll never happen again. I hate being cruel. But sometimes I am, unintentionally cos I wanna protect tu but anyway..You can go. Go and follow your dreams and me and your mom will wish tu all the best. And may this contest lead to all your dreams coming true." He dicho smiling widely.
She couldn't stop the tears any longer and she let them flow. Then she hugged her dad so tight. It was probably one of their most emotional hugs ever. She felt so happy. So happy. She lied. But its a small lie, she is going to meet new people and stuff and the trip to England, if she wins of course, will probably change lots of things in her life but right now, she couldn't be más thankful to her parents for understanding her. This actually went much better than she thought. And she thanked God for that.
"Well, again thank tu two so much! tu guys are amazing! tu made me so happy and..I guess I'll go upstairs." She dicho then hugged them both again then went upstairs.
She honestly couldn't contain her feelings. She wanted to scream and yell and shout and smile forever. Her parents didn't really know what the contest was about but she really needs to stop saying that to herself. They agree. They even encouraged her. And even her dad apologized and everything is much much better between them. She was so right when she thought that the contest would be the beginning of something great to her. Now, she was ready for anything to come. She wasn't worried anymore. She is prepared for anything.

"But thank tu sooo much, dad! tu can't imagine how much this means to us!" She added and gave him a hug. Then all three of them started walking outside Mr. Robertson's office room.
"Good luck, girls!" He shouted.
"Thanks!" They all shouted back with wide smiles across their faces.
Lucy was incredibly happy that Rebeka's parents were happy about the idea and even encouraging! Even though they lied about SOME details but still, this made them less worried about what's coming next. She wished things wouldn't get worse between her and her dad and that nothing would be too awkward between them when she talks to him tonight. She will though, she has to. She can't anything ruin this for them, now that Rebeka's parents are not something they are gonna worry about.
Rebeka wasn't that much worried now, she was much más relaxed cos lying to her parents was what worried her the most. But then there's Lucy's problems. She didn't know if the talk she is gonna have with her dad might change the way he is thinking o even make him realize how she was thinking. She hoped if she told más about the contest to her mom, she'd understand. She knows her mom well so it won't be that hard talking to her. And worst of all, Eric. Her boyfriend that was barely in her life anymore. It was like they were living separate lives, which was true. She was tired of how things were not only awkward but messed up between them. She wanted to think más clearly about him. About everything. Which will probably be when she goes inicial in a couple of hours.
She went into the guest room to pack her pajama and toothbrush and all her other stuff into her small backpack.
Then she went and called Kathy who came to pack her stuff as well. Then Rebeka walked inside the guest room with a little frown on her face.
"Are tu sure tu guys want to leave? I really want tu to stay with me!" She dicho sadly.
"I want to, Rebeka. I really do but I just can't. Sorry." dicho Lucy with a little frown.
"But hey, we'll call each other and chat online! It'd be fun!" dicho Kathy with a smile.
"O.k, guys. If that's what tu guys want." Replied Rebeka with a cute smile.
After they dicho goodbye to Mr. And Mrs. Robertson and Rebeka, Lucy and Kathy went outside to go to their homes. Kathy took a cab cos her house was far away, while Lucy's was a few streets away, so she walked back inicial to be received por her mother's cheerful smiley face.
"LUCY! I missed tu dear! We were just about to have dinner, come in!" She dicho happily.
"Hey mom!" She greeted her mom with a smile but not that cheerful. Her mind was really packed with thoughts.
She walked and saw her dad. She stopped for a minuto and stared at him. He stopped too but then he stood up and hugged her tightly. She was surprised.
"I've missed tu dear." He whispered in her ear before he pulls away.
"...I..I've missed tu too, dad" She dicho then hugged him again. Maybe her talk with her dad might not be so bad.
They all sat on the mesa, tabla and she started digging into the food. She was más than hungry.
"So, how was the sleepover? tu girls had fun?" Her mom asked excitedly.
"Yeah..It was so fun." Lucy dicho after swallowing.
"Which reminds me. There's something I need to talk about with the both of you." She added a but nervous.
Her mom and dad looked at each other then looked back at her.
"What is it, sweetie?" Her mom asked worried.
"Its no big deal! Trust me, you'd think its lame. But to me, its important." She said.
"There's this..Contest held at my school..And dad please don't rush and disapprove! Let me finish." She protested before her dad could open his mouth.
"Its..Well its very big! And it could change my life. I entered with both Rebeka and Kathy so if I win, I wouldn't be alone. And we'd go to England and stay there for 3 weeks if we win..And..I just wanted to know if tu guys agree..But first, please understand how important this is to me. It could be the beginning of something big in my life! tu know I generally hate contests so I wouldn't have entered if it didn't mean so much to me..So please, think before tu tell me what tu guys think, please!" She dicho nervously.
Her mom and dad kept exchanging looks that she couldn't tell if they were good o not. She knew they were worried about her but still, she was 16 and she was gonna be 17 really soon. She is old enough to take care of herself.
"As for me..I don't mind! I actually hope you'd win, honey. It sounds like it means so much to tu and I know tu always wanted to go there so..I'd be a terrible mom if I dicho no, so..Really..Go for it!" Her mom dicho with a smile.
"Really? Thank tu so much, mom! tu can't imagine how much it makes me happy to hear that from you. Now dad, its up to you. Please understand this is important to me. But still, tu are my dad..I'd respect it if tu dicho no." She knew she was kind of lying to herself but still, she knew treating her dad well was the only way of getting his approval. He needs to realize that her dreams are too important to her and they are not just teenage fantasies.
"First, I am sorry for our fight a couple of days ago. I completely overreacted and I broke you, cos I wanted to destroy one of your biggest wishes just to protect you. To be a good father. But I did the opposite. Good fathers encourage their children to achieve their dreams and follow them till they come true. And I wasn't doing that. So, I am sorry." He dicho in a sad tone, and he was about to continue but Lucy interrupted him.
"I am SO sorry as well, dad! I dicho I hated tu and I shouted and yelled. And I overreacted too. I should've realized tu just wanted to do what's best for me and protect me. Good girls don't yell at their dads and say they hate them. I was actually a terrible daughter. I am sorry too. tu actually were doing what dads do, tu wanted to make sure I stay seguro so tu really got nothing to apologize for." Lucy dicho biting her lip pushing the tears away. She was so guilty about treating her dad badly. But she hated crying so she listened to him quietly.
"Well, yes. We were both wrong, I gotta admit. But still, I was terrible to you. I actually never thought about how tu possibly felt about how I treated you. It'll never happen again. I hate being cruel. But sometimes I am, unintentionally cos I wanna protect tu but anyway..You can go. Go and follow your dreams and me and your mom will wish tu all the best. And may this contest lead to all your dreams coming true." He dicho smiling widely.
She couldn't stop the tears any longer and she let them flow. Then she hugged her dad so tight. It was probably one of their most emotional hugs ever. She felt so happy. So happy. She lied. But its a small lie, she is going to meet new people and stuff and the trip to England, if she wins of course, will probably change lots of things in her life but right now, she couldn't be más thankful to her parents for understanding her. This actually went much better than she thought. And she thanked God for that.
"Well, again thank tu two so much! tu guys are amazing! tu made me so happy and..I guess I'll go upstairs." She dicho then hugged them both again then went upstairs.
She honestly couldn't contain her feelings. She wanted to scream and yell and shout and smile forever. Her parents didn't really know what the contest was about but she really needs to stop saying that to herself. They agree. They even encouraged her. And even her dad apologized and everything is much much better between them. She was so right when she thought that the contest would be the beginning of something great to her. Now, she was ready for anything to come. She wasn't worried anymore. She is prepared for anything.
