I sat in the interview room with every person in the room gaping. I had just told them my biggest secret-- what had happened when I was a baby. And all on camera. My left eye got a little watery, but i quickly wiped it away. The interviewer was still speechless. Finally he said, "On the street?" "Um.....yeah." I said.
"And a four año old boy saved you?"
"Yes."
"What do tu know about him?"
"His name is Louis. His mom is-- o was-- a nurse."
The interviewer seemed sad. "I'm so sorry," he stammered. I started to cry more. God, these tears....
"Uh...can I go now?" I said. "Yeah-yeah, sure. Go ahead." he said. I quickly got up with tears streaming down my face. I ran across the hall until I bumped into someone. I looked up into the face of Simon Cowell.
"Lilah, what's wrong?" he said, looking concerned. I wiped back my stupid tears and sniffed. "I'm just...I just told..." I began, but I couldn't finish. Suddenly I saw Gavin quickly turn the corner, running down the hall. "Lilah!" he said, running towards me. He hugged me and said, "We saw the interview live. tu didn't have to tell them." Simon looked confused. "Tell them what?" he said. Gavin put his arm around me and looked at Simon. "When she was a baby she was left on the side of the road in Doncaster. A little boy saved her but she had died minutos before. She was taken to the hospital now she's fine. But it's her life-long goal to meet that boy. There. End of story. Come on, Lilah." Gavin finished, guiding me down the hall.
Simon stood in the middle of the hallway, looking back at us. I turned around to see him with a depressed look on his face, but soon my warm teary face fogged up my glasses. I turned around and kept walking.
