I think Liam and Harry were "elected" as the front men because of their vocal ranges. I see no other reason for them to be set apart from the group. All the boys are good and I agree that they should divvy up the solos más equally but remember, their careers are just starting. They have only let out a handful of songs, the other boys will get their chances in the future. We just have to be patient. :)

If tu listen carefully to Louis' part right before the chorus (0:30), tu can hear Liam's Harmony is lower than Louis' melody, and since the verses are lower than the chorus, he sings a verse, too.
