I found this articulo on tumblr and I have to share it. I'm a hooker (hook's fan) but honestly I'm sick and tired that so many people justified hook's action, he's not prince charming he's a villain and from our childhood we know how awesome he is as a villain (well probably not from the disney version, he was a comic relieve in that one)!

So, this revelation hit me last night in theq wake of the new promo. tu know the clip, you’ve seen it floating around the etiquetas enough; Hook with the gun, unwavering as he pulls the trigger, and utterly furious and dangerous and villainous. He’s every inch the terrifying pirate who was the bane of every kid’s hero, Peter Pan. The “imagine someone más despicable, más evil” line from the promo trailer for The cocodrilo has slowly been coming to light as his story progresses, and as we’ve all seen from the trailer, now Hook’s made it to Storybrooke, he’s going to stop at nothing to finally obtain the revenge he’s been after all these centuries.
NOW EXCUSE ME WHILE I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS AND GO INTO RAMBLE-MODE WHILE I DISCUSS OUR PIRATE CAPTAIN. IT’S ALL A VALID ASSESSMENT OF HIS CHARACTER, I SWEAR.
Now, back to what I originally said; Hook isn’t much different to Rumple. We’ve had an entire series to get to know Rumplestiltskin’s story now; from his beginnings as a spinner to losing Bae and his amor for Belle, but with Hook, we’re nowhere near seeing all of “how one charming swashbuckler became one of the greatest villains of all time”.
Everyone knows Hook, be it from the disney movie o the original book o however else tu were
Introduced to Neverland. We know he’s a villain, we’re supposed to root for Peter to beat him, but let’s face it, fairytale villains are some of the greatest characters to exist from. our childhoods, and Hook is right up there in that list.
With Hook in OUAT,we’ve not seen anywhere near the beginnings of his entire story. We’ve seen the moment that tips him over the edge on the fast-track to villainy - losing Milah - and that’s about all. Think about it;
what do we honestly know about his backstory, apart from the fact he’s spent time in Neverland? One thing we do know for certain about Hook, is that lying comes as easy to him as breathing.
All we know really know about our charming swashbuckler por the time the credits on The Crocodile, is that he was a pirate who fell in amor with Rumplestiltskin’s wife, and Rumple then proceeded to murder the woman he Loved por ripping her corazón out of her chest and crushing it in front of him, leaving Milah to die in his arms as he swears revenge on her killer.
In Hook’s mind, his revenge is entirely justified for what Rumple did to the woman he loved. As Rumplestiltskin gloats that there’s no way Hook could live long enough to even hope to kill him, the first place Hook knows he can go to is Neverland, where he’ll have all the time in the world to devise a revenge that would break Rumplestiltskin as much as losing Milah broke him, presumably using the hadas o some other fuente of magic to return to the encantada Forest. But he’s spent three hundred years in Neverland. He’s brooded on the thought of murdering Rumplestiltskin for decades now.
Three hundred years is a long damn time to plot a way to kill someone, and now, we’re seeing just what Hook is willing to do so that he can achieve that goal, especially in the events of ‘Into The Deep’ and ‘Queen of Hearts’, and just how far this quest has pushed him.
Colin’s even said, it’s success o death for Hook at this point; all he wants to
do is get revenge for Milah. But let’s do a tally of wthat we know our charming asshole has got up to since he took his ship through to Neverland, shall we?
- He’s willingly teamed up with Cora, the one person who we as a fandom all know is as ruthless as they come, and he was clearly willing to stab her in the back if he felt like a better offer to get him to where he wanted to be came along.
- He lied to the Fab Four about his true identity in an attempt to gather information for Cora - but más than likely, also for himself - about what to expect in Storybrooke. Cora utterly oozes confidence that whatever the situation, she will come out on top. This information is clearly for his own uses when he finds a way over to Storybrooke.
- He did end up screwing Cora over por teaming up with Emma, Snow, Aurora and mulan to retrieve the compass from the giant. He flirts his way through the entire trip up the
beanstalk thinking he can get the best of Emma doing what he’s always done to get his own way, and gets bitten
in the culo for trying.
- He wouldn’t have stayed with their group, and he wouldn’t have gone back to Cora for anything other than to try and steal the portal dust. He’s not Cora’s lapdog, and tu can be bloody certain he owes no allegiance to the women who were willing to leave him tied to a árbol as ogre-food. In the end, his loyalties lie exactly where they have for the last three centuries.With himself.
-Cora finds out that Emma got the better of him and made off with the compass she wanted, and what does she do? She denies him passage to Storybrooke. He’s failed her, so she’s got no use for him any more. And that denial of his driving motivation makes. him panic (really, go back and watch the scene with him and Cora at the. bottom of the beanstalk. She says no, and there’s a moment of absolute panic on Hook’s face as she tells him she’s planning on leaving him behind. Bravo to you, Colin). His gut reaction to flirt his way out of the situation, but no, Cora’s not having any of his shit, and his siguiente instinct is violence when he tries to attack her.
- So then he releases Aurora. He seems genuine in his desire to screw Cora over for denying him revenge, Sleeping Hook shippers rejoice at INTERACTION, and off Aurora goes to find her friends. But then Cora finds out she’s gone, and he doesn’t bat an eyelid at the prospect of his own death. He just calmly reveals his trump card, the thing that will get him back into her good graces; he’s taken Aurora’s corazón while she was unconscious. And so begins the single greatest shit storm I’ve ever seen from any corner of a fandom because Hook is a fantastic liar to someone who doesn’t have their little bs “magical ability” to pick up on lying that’s only ever used for Convenient Plot Purposes. Aurora wanted to believe him, the audience wanted to believe him, but BOY HOW WRONG WE WERE.
-And now, we get flashbacks of him breaking into the castillo where Belle is held prisoner, so he can get to. Rumplestiltskin through he girl who worked for him. He spins her a story that she sees through in an instant, but when she says she doesn’t know of any way to kill Rumple, that she won’t help him kill Rumple, he knocks her out in an instant and then tries to kill her. She has nothing of use for him, and so he deems her completely unworthy of bothering with. If she can’t give him a way to destroy Rumple, she’s not worth his time.
We’ve already seen clips from the siguiente part of his story in 2x10 in the. trailer. A confrontation with Gold, and him with the gun. And these are even más telling of just what Hook has
become since we first met him. Rumplestiltskin, during the segundo “set” of flashbacks in The cocodrilo where he’s the Dark One, doesn’t seem to be very long after Bae went through the portal. A lot of the anger and fury we’ve seen him already turn on the Blue Fairy comes through in his confrontations with Hook and Milah during the latter half of the episode. He’s can’t even have started working on the curse yet, if he’s bartering for magic beans with Smee.
The segundo Milah tells him something he doesn’t want to hear - “I never loved you” - he plunges his hand into her chest and kills her. He’s angry and impulsive and this is actually probably one of his defining moments as a villain; where he murders Milah
just because she didn’t amor him. On the flip-side to this coin, Hook when we first meet him is every inch the charming pirate we’d all decided we wanted him to be, and with what little we see of him with Milah, we see that he genuinely cares for her. He
tells her to run while Rumple’s got him at sword-point, and he and Milah work on the ship together as a team. Heck, the crew treat her almost like another captain. We can only assume that for however long they spent together, that they were happy together. And Rumple tears all of that away (like he’s had his own happiness taken away from him when Bae went through the portal) . We saw the event that sent Hook over the edge. Into darkness, and what has resulted from that moment, but what remains in those three hundred years in the middle is, as yet, a mystery.
Now he’s in Storybrooke, we know that Hook’s going to have a confrontation with Gold, pretty damn quickly. Which is rather surprising. You’d think he’d lie low, assess the situation, figure out the best way to approach his revenge, but nope. And he gets a cane to the face for his trouble, which can only result in the clip of him with the gun, utterly ruthless and frankly, más than a little bit terrifying as he pulls the trigger. This anger, this impulsiveness, this darkness; it harks right back to the place where Rumple was during the flashbacks of The Crocodile. Only this time, there’s no Valiente beauty to pull Hook out of the darkness like Belle did
to Rumple. Rumple took care of that. But who says he even wants to be pulled out of the darkness? Who says he wants to skip off into the sunset with happy flying unicornios for a happily ever after fit for any Prince Charming?
He’s been in the same dark place he was after Milah died for centuries; he’s embraced the darkness like an old friend. Our fairytale villains have always existed for us to amor hating them. We amor our villains for being so utterly villainous to our heroes, but without them, who would our heroes be? Their stories wouldn’t be anywhere near as interesting without these walking entities of chaos and villainy to compliment them.
And don’t even try to pretend tu don’t all want Hook around causing all sorts of chaos for as long as it’s possible to keep him on the show. tu know tu amor him for being an asshole, so don’t try and justify him o excuse him o make him out to be something he’s not.
HOOK IS A WONDERFULLY VILLAINOUS VILLAIN, WHO DOES NOT NEED AND CERTAINLY DOES NOT WANT YOUR GODDAMN REDEMPTION ARCS.

Bless this article! I know some of tu ship hook with--well every single female in OUAT (except mulan, that's weird because I even found snow/hook, why no one ship him with mulan?) and really want one of this female character "change" him just like belle did to rumple, but just like this articulo said: who dicho hook need to change? Some of the best villain doesn't care about redemption, Voldemort from HP, Moriarty from Sherlock o one of my fav villain on tv King Russell from True Blood, he too lose his true amor and swear on revenge did he get another amor life: YES, did he have redemption and became good: NO! He actually became más crazy and he was amazing!
Captain Hook is one of the greatest villain of all time and I pray that OUAT won't "change" his character just because he found love. I don't mind all the ships that include hook but for me Hook/Revenge always and forever My OTP.
