I think her father hurt her a lot. And Gibbs has always been there for her to help her out of anything anywhere and anytime. While her father just thinks of his job and his country.

I think it has more to do with trust, honour and the unconditional reciprocal "love" she gets from Gibbs. She knows what kind of man he is and she has seen how far he will go to protect the people he loves. He has personally saved her twice! And then there is the bond they share after she shot Ari.

She loves her father but she does not trust him, he has shown time and time again that his actions are often less than honourable, he always has an agenda and his love is conditional. So long as she does what he wants she is LOVED! And what kind of father sets his children against one another. Eli instructed her to kill Ari to get close to Gibbs. He used her for his own purposes.

yeah Eli doesn't mean much to Ziva. Deep down she still loves him, but he's hurt her so much, and Gibbs has always been there for her, and she even admits that she thinks of Gibbs as a father to her. She loves Gibbs much more than her father, Eli. She would try to save both, but in the end she is much more loyal to Gibbs. And she cares more for Gibbs.

AS the sayiing goes "Any man can father a child, but it takes a real man to be a father" And Eli ain't done a very good job of being a father. Two children dead and 1 estranged!

Ziva would pick Gibbs over Eli after everything thats happened. She has even admitted that she knows in the future she may have to arrest him, i think she knows there may be a time she may have to pull the trigger or watch his death too!

Eli was never there for Ziva and he hurt her feelings really badly
so she would so choose gibbs

I think Ziva feels that Gibbs has been more of a father to her over the years than Eli David has been.
