Many will probably disagree with me on this, and I have doubts about it myself, but I think that Tobi may NOT be Madara. I know that Tobi being Madara makes sense and no one else would fit the part (at least I can't think of anyone) but I just want to put these out there:

1) Tobi is just a mask. Any ninja powerful enough could put on a mask and carry out an attack and blame it on Madara. Uchiha Madara was an extremely powerful ninja, so it would make sense to anyone who knew how powerful he was. Another reason he could be pretending to be Madara is to make people fear him and cause the 5 Kages be too afraid to put naruto and Bee out on the battlefield, which might be too much for akatsuki to handle.

2) We haven't actually seen any of Madara's powers o weapons that were used in his fight with Hashirama. He says this is because he hasn't gained his full powers back yet, but that could easily be a lie. The only thing we have seen that suggests Tobi is Madara is a Sharingan, and he won't even mostrar his Mangekyo design.

3) When Tobi took off his mask for Kisame, Kisame bit off his tongue before anyone could see Tobi's face. Well we already know Tobi is Madara, so what's the big deal if we see him? Maybe Kisame was trying to protect Tobi/Madara's true identity. If tu think about it, if Tobi really is Madara, there is no need for him to wear a mask anymore because everyone knows who he is.

4) Kabuto calls Tobi "Tobi" and then says "Sorry, tu go por Madara these days". He then shows Tobi a coffin that apparently holds someone very powerful and can't be known to exist. He reassures Tobi that he hasn't told anyone yet. My theory- the 6th coffin is Madara.

Please comentario and let me know what tu think. I want to know if tu think this could be plausible o if any of my theories have holes.

thejokercard AGREED! I personally think he's obito, but thats just me.

Ronin87 Thats a good theory and could be possible but i think Tobi is Shisui but that 6th coffin leaves many doors open i think the coffin is madara tho

-Wednesday- I totally agree with u all the way then my friend i sorta think tobi is obito and that the coffin Wat Eva is madara and another reason why tobi could b obito is that Wat my litte bro says that well this is his theory that he most likely shares with many other ppl is that obito gave his eye Wat Eva to kakashi and his mask only has one eye hole so that the eye that he still has or Wat eva and stuff the mask isn't covering the eye that he still has or something idk my just listening to my bro talk but still I really don't think tobi is madara but still it says it's him so I'm not sure but I hope that the coffin is madara Btw #1 tobi/ madara/ obito fangirl

jojo_07 I agree with your argument.I think that tobi is neither madara nor ubito but i have a suspicion that he is the brother of madara.He knows a lot of things about the uchiha history and madara.also he only have an ordinary sharingan.we know that madara get the eye of his brother and i dont believe that his brother dies because his eyes are gone.its unbelievable.that explains why tobi can not use mangekyou.

roxtarr I have a crazy theory on who Tobi might really be...... The latest Naruto Shippudden Vol 54 reveals that Madara Uchiha is in fact dead after Muu used the Impure World Resurrection jutsu and summoned Madara. So, that means someone else is pretending to be Madara. I have a theory that its Obito (Tobi) Uchiha because, remember how Tobi is able to teleport to different dimensions....and check this...isn't Kakashi's Sharingan able to do the same? this might sound crazy but, what if someone Resurrected or saved Obito that night and, trained him how to use his sharingan to teleport him.....idk just a theory... Gimme some feedbacks or other theories

soad20fan i hate how everyne thinks its obito, first off how could it be obito if tobi attacked the fourth hokage as an adult already if it was tobi he would still have been a child. If anything it will be some random BS character that they pulled out of nowhere

jojo_07 i think it's not obito.tobi must be a new character that is not yet intoduce.what makes me think is what madara says about a "little brat nagato".remember what tobi says on konan that he was the one who gave the rinnegan on nagato?is there some connection to it?but what i'm sure is madara have a connection to tobi and he knows the moon eye plan.
