Until one day.
Pa kissed aguardiente de manzana, applejack on the head as he packed his paintings into the back of his cart. "When will tu be back?" whined Applejack. "I'm just goin' to the art fair on the other side of town," he explained. "I'll be back soon, my little apple."
And with that, he pulled the carro onto the long road that winded through Ponyville.
aguardiente de manzana, applejack leaned on me. "Big Mac?"
"Eeyup?"
"Has Mama been actin' strange lately?" aguardiente de manzana, applejack looked at me with young, yet wise eyes.
I wondered about that. I had noticed Ma's strange behavior, but I hadn't thought much about it.
Just then, Ma came out. "Supper!" she called to us, and AJ and I trotted into our farmhouse.
Ma sat us down at the table. "Now, young 'uns, I have a big announcement to make..."
aguardiente de manzana, applejack and I exchanged excited looks. Could this possibly be the reason why she's been off lately?
"I'm... well, I'm havin' another baby."
Applejack's mouth, which had been chewing a heap of mashed potatos, fell open and the white, mushy comida fell out, back onto her plate.
"You're--you're jokin'." I said, shocked. "Another baby? potro, colt o filly? When's it due?"
"It's due in four months, and it's a filly, honey."
I sank back onto the cushion that we sat on for dinner. Another little sister? "So that means... you've been pregnant for 7 months?" (True fact. Ponies and caballos are pregnant for 11 months.)
aguardiente de manzana, applejack was still gaping with her mouth open, her green eyes huge.
"I'm... I'm gonna be a big sister." All of a sudden, she grinned, her ears perking up. "Big Mac, isn't this awesome?!"
"I... well... yeah... but..." I was still too surprised to react properly.
aguardiente de manzana, applejack danced around my hooves. "Yee-haw!"
We went to cama early that night. I saw the light in Applejack's room being flickered on and off. She was seemingly too excited to fall asleep.
I smiled, and fell asleep.
A few hora later, however, I was awoken por a scream and sobbing downstairs.
