Hi guys, I managed to watch the 25th Anniversary of Miss Saigon and I was really blown away por not only the show, but the actors playing the main characters. So are tu ready time travel back to the Vietnam War?
As many of tu don't know, the story is base on Puccini's tragic opera, 'Madama Butterfly'. Which change the location and time period from japón to Vietnam in the midst of the Vietnam War, the only difference is that Kim is a bar girl whereas mariposa is just an ordinary 15 año old Japanese girl.
Hi guys, this is the segundo articulo that I had written and I'm going to write a lista of some of my favourite musicals. Some of them I had already seen, others I am dying to watch it either on Broadway o West End.
1) Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera
I had seen this musical in Singapore 10 years hace and I feel in amor with the songs, I still have the original cast recording onto my iPod. The settings are amazing and I amor the costumes as well, my favourite scene is enmascarados and the Final Lair.
Hi guys, I had long to see this musical, which is base on Puccini's tragic opera 'Madame Butterfly'. So here are my reasons on why I amor to see the famous musical!
I knew some of the songs like 'Why God Why?' and 'Bui Doi', just to name a few. That I could not get them out of my head! My favourite song is 'Sun & Moon' because it's such a sweet song that tu want to sing it with your amor ones! The other song that I amor is 'I Still Believe' which is a very sad song that I nearly cried while listening to it.
When I first viewed Pippin with Ben Vereen in the DVD of the 1982 Toronto production, I had one giant problem with it that was keeping from absolutely loving this musical; it was dated. Weather it was the hair, the music, o the en general, general staging, the cobwebs somehow kept me from completely appreciating this wonderful musical. And then came this revival, and it did just that. I can describe it in just 2 words: circus spectacle. It is easy to have a big Broadway musical that is spectacular in the fact that the spectacle in which millions of dollars are spent on it to make it look...
I have mixed feelings about the NBC Live Musicals. (Please take note, I have not seen its Sound of Music). On one hand, they are getting musicales back into mainstream culture, sparkling an interest in musicales into the siguiente generation, and giving families something fun to watch on televisión together. But on the other hand, from what I have heard about from the Sound of música live…They can be pretty overblown copies that add “cool” millennial crap. Peter Pan Live, though I was extremely skeptical at first about it, is surprisingly better than I thought. It has...
People of the internet, welcome to Dickensworld! Dickensworld is a magical, fascinating place. tu will find yourself in England, especially in London, from the period of 1820-1865. Be sure to take note that all the poor people are poor because they have visible rags, dirt all over their face, are super skinny, and have big, perrito, cachorro dog eyes, cementing every Conservative’s idea of what a poor person looks like. This social commentary will be almost everywhere. It’s filled with interesting characters weather they are pure, sweet angels, eccentrics, o Lucifer incarnate. Oh, and...
Let’s face the truth. Religion is a touchy subject. So touchy, that dare sort of medium discusses o uses it, there will be hate letters and hate mail streaming through the creators mailboxes and computers. Even Godspell as harmless as it seemed was criticized for portraying jesús as a clown. So what happens when Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the writers of a notoriously offensive, but surprisingly thoughtful and extremely well-written cartoon series make a musical discussing religion, using The Church of Latter día Saints as its focus?
THIS IS VERY URGENT AND NOT A JOKE! ALSO DON'T GOOF OFF!!!!
I really mean it! What would tu be able to do if SOPA/TPP censors the internet? What would tu be able to do if escritura fanfics and drawing fanarts become illegal? What would tu do if it's illegal to do a cover of your favorite...
So Sweeney Todd, Hannibal Lector, and Titus Andronicus all walk into a bar. Okay, so starting a review with a joke might not be the best idea. But never the less, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet calle is considered the first “Musical thriller.” It is one of composer Stephen Sondheim’s most well-known pieces of música and has won a ton of awards and there are productions and tours everywhere…you get the drill. It is personally one of my favorito! musicales (in the parte superior, arriba ten) and like Phantom I was hesitant to review this film, but gathered my courage and went ahead. The film...
