Avatar or The Blind Side

I just dont think there is enough of a story for Avatar to win Best Pictures, yes it a years ahead of its time with accordance to special effects movie but its it a gripping story as well, not so much, i basically did an ennie meanie mini mo for this bwteen this The hurt Locker and Precious!

^ Yeah, I agree. The nominations this year are weak so I'm almost sure an underdog will win this year.

Not that Avatar is bad, but plot-wise it's really cliche. Up not only had a unique plot, but was touching and appealing.

To be honest, I'm confused between UP and Avatar.

Avatar has a recycled plot (Pocahontas anyone?). Up already has the win clinched in the Best Animated Feature category. Considering The Hurt Locker just won the main Director's Guild prize, a major precursor of Oscar winners, I think the Academy will award Bigelow's picture the win. If Avatar wins though, then the merit of the Oscars will be downgraded to that of the Teen Choice Awards. Stupid Avatar. Shoulda been Star Trek in it's place.

STAR TREK or THE 500 DAYS OF SUMMER ARE MORE LIKE IT. Stupid Academy. Either this or District 9 I'm rooting for, but no way in hell either of those are winning.

I want District 9 but it's not going to win. Seeing as they changed it back to 10 nominations this year, there were going to add some films like it.

Also wouldn't mind A Serious Man. They may just be my love for the Coen Bros there..
