 Actor Corlandos Scott
Actor Corlandos Scott
If you’re a parent with young children, then you’re always searching for quality cine your whole family can watch.

The new DVD/VOD release A Cowgirl’s Story stars Bailee Madison (from Good Witch fame) as Dusty Rhodes, a young teen living with her grandfather (the legendary Pat Boone) because her Army parents are fighting in the Afghanistan war. Dusty convinces her new friends to form an equestrian drill team to cope with her fear and helplessness that goes along with the territory.

Rising actor Corlandos Scott lends his support to the film as the local Detective, stepping into the storyline when the girls find themselves in trouble.

Parents might recognize this Alabama native from his appearance as a Union Solider on HBO’s Westworld; and horror fans will remember him as ‘Detective Loomis’ starring in the horror franchise films Hayride and Hayride 2.

Excited to now be part of this family friendly film, Corlandos Scott took time to answer a few questions:

Tell us about your role in A Cowgirl’s Story.

CORLANDOS SCOTT: I'm a local Detective who investigates a sticky situation that Bailee Madison's and Chloe Lukasiak's characters find themselves in. When the girls end up on the wrong side of the law, it's up to me to figure out their fate.

How was it to work alongside Bailee Madison?

CS: Bailee was a gem to work with. As an actor, she's very giving and collaborative, so it was easy playing opposite her. Bailee's focus and maturity as a Producer on this project makes me excited to see what she does next.

What would tu consider your characters ‘best’ quality? And their ‘worst’?

CS: My characters best quality is his empathy. He's also a friend of Bailee's character's grandfather, so he's a little biased towards their issues. That's probably his worse quality--his closeness to the family may nube his judgment a bit. But that's what makes him human. I think we can all relate with that.

Any interesting stories from the set tu can share with us?

CS: It was sort of surreal to work opposite Hollywood legend, Pat Boone. During the breaks he would tell me stories about working with Clark Gable, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis. I told my friends, I'm now one degree of separation from Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe -- only a few decades too late! haha.

What’s the biggest lesson tu learned from working on this project?

CS: Seeing Bailee perfectly balance her duties of being both the estrella and producer of this project showed me that filmmaking is truly a collaboration--and Bailee collaborated like a boss!

And, now just for fun:

Who’s your favorito! actor/actress?

CS: Denzel Washington is the prototype as far as I'm concerned, but I'm a huge Paul Giamatti fan. Paul has managed to create a classic "Paul Giamatti" body of work while also having several deviations from his typical character. That's not easy to do.

What role from the past do tu wish tu could have played?

CS: I'm torn, because my answer is Will Smith in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but if I'd done that, then I probably wouldn't have the gem of an actuación role model that Will Smith is today.

Favorite movie o TV mostrar from your childhood.

CS: I gave it away earlier, but The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and let's throw in Men In Black (the first one). The thing I appreciate about Will is that he knows how to make the audience have a good time.

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.

CS: I used to be a Nuclear Reactor Operator. Seriously. like Homer Simpson, but in real life!

How can fans keep up with you?

Superman's one of the most popular superheroes ever made. Because of his popularity he has had eight live action films. Justice League is excluded, because superman doesn't have a big enough role in that film for it to count.

8. superman and the topo Man

Although the first Christopher Reeve superman is considered to be the first superman this obscure film from the 1950s is Superman's first film. The film has George Reeves as superman who also played superman in a live action TV show. The film was made during a time period where it was really hard to make good superhero films so this film lacks...
