He wouldn't because if you watch some of the shows when sonic is in danger Tails came to rescue him but when Tails is in danger sonic comes to rescue him.

In case you guys forgot, he had to make the same choice with Cosmo. Sonic is also too much of a hero to allow his little brother to spare him at the price of the world.

There is no way Tails would do it. Even though he has the guts Sonic is Tails brother and best friend all in one. But if it was Sonic Vs Tails I would choose Tails because my username and because he is my favorite Sonic character. And I know that Tails had to make a decision like this with Cosmo in Sonic X. Also Tails and if needed DR. Robotnic/Eggman could help keep the World from ending because they equal an I.Q. of 600 when put together (they both have 300). The world wouldn't end even if Tails didn't kill Sonic.

I feel like Tails is growing up to be his own self and not in Sonic’s shadow. Tails is going to have to move on at some point because even the best of heroes are vulnerable to death. This is probably not cannon but don’t forget that in Sonic The Hedgehog Comic Archie #178 Tails had the choice and chose to fight Sonic because of his personal beliefs. Now let me ask you this; Sonic turns evil, he will destroy anything that comes in his way, evil Sonic has killed all of Tails’s friends, do you still think that he cares about his lost friend more than the fate of the world?
