Is he using me even just as a friend?

I'm known to give my friends gifts around the holidays no matter what holiday. I gave my friend/crush a cute oso, oso de for valentines day. He knew I was going to get him something but he didn't know what. Before I gave it to him he dicho "is it dulces I hope it's candy" and then when I gave him the oso, oso de and a lollipop he tried to give the oso, oso de away to his friends right in front of me but he popped the lollipop right in his mouth. My friends say he was being a jerk and that he's using me. I know that he was a jerk but I still really like him and I don't know why. Do tu people thinks he's using me and should I confront him about trying to give it away?
