One Direction and Little Mix fans were speculating that Zayn Malik and his girlfriend Perrie Edwards got matching tattoos! However, recent photos suggest that the Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards didn\'t get a tattoo after all, and that the ink may have just been something temporary like henna.

As we previously reported, Little Mix\'s Perrie Edwards was spotted with a yin and yang tattoo on her wrist, with the same design and in the same place as her fiance Zayn Malik\'s tattoo. Check out the comparison photo here! In the video below, Perrie Edwards flashes what looks like a new tattoo on her wrist: a black and white yin and yang design. Her fiance Zayn Malik has the same tattoo in the same place.

However, new photos of Perrie posted on her Instagram reveal that the tattoo was likely henna. The photos (see above and below) show the same place on Perrie\'s arm but she is no longer sporting the same matching tattoo as One Direction\'s Zayn Malik.

Days before the video was uploaded, Perrie posted an Instagram photo of henna tattoos on her foot (potentially before her 21st birthday party). She could have easily gotten the design on her arm that same day.

We think the idea to get a matching tatt with her future husband was a cute idea by Perrie, even though it was temporary!

As we previously reported, according to PopStarTats.com, Zayn Malik has 41 tattoos in total! Perrie Edwards previously talked about Zayn\'s large cartoon tattoo of herself on his arm.

"It must be love to be honest," Perrie said about the ink. "When I\'m away from him, I guess he can just take a look at his arm and remind him of me, so it\'s a lovely compliment, really. I love it, it\'s lovely."

The Little Mix singer also admitted during an interview with The Mirror, "I\'ve always wanted tattoos, growing up seeing my dad and big brother all tatted. I think it\'s cool, but I change my mind too much."

"[Perrie] was shocked at first but loves it now," Zayn said of the tattoo. "She thinks I\'m crazy, like everyone else does."
