How do I come out to my family?

I am a pansexual female. I've only recently 'discovered' that I am and have only told one close friend. I thought I was bisexual before and so other friends know me as bisexual. I have been thinking for a while that I want to tell my Mum and eventually the rest of my family but I'm very nervous about doing so. My family are very opinionated and I have spoken to some of them about different sexualities and they have been quite negative about them. I am open with my friends but find this difficult with my family. Could tu tell me how tu came out and your families/friends reactions and your emotions before, during and after 'coming out'? Thank tu very much.

tu might want to have a meeting with your family and tu should just tell them that you're pansexual. They might be negative at first, but hey, I'm sure that they'll still amor tu and they'll probably learn to accept your sexuality.

Before tu come out tu should probably make sure it's safe. If you're still living with your parents make sure tu have a place to go in case they kick tu out. As for actually coming out, there is no right way. tu probably shouldn't start with 'I'm pansexual', they'll probably take it better if tu say something like 'I'm not straight'. Treat them like they're small children who don't know anything. Just try to stay calm, no matter what happens.
