that shows that Brooke wasnt a good friend to Peyton back then...if your friend like a guy you cant just after him...thats not right! and knowing that both of them had feelings she knew she was gonna get hurt eventually...she put herself through all that pain and then blame it on LP.

I hate to sound cruel, but I also can't help but to believe that Brooke caused a lot of her own pain. That's what gets me the most about Brooke blaming Peyton/LP for EVERYTHING. She has a right to blame them for cheating because it was wrong, but she also could've considered Peyton's feelings too. Because after all, the only reason Brooke was interested in Lucas AT FIRST was his looks. And Peyton's feeling were much deeper.
I completely agree that Peyton should've spoken up. I really do. But I believe that Brooke knew about her feelings. She just wanted to get Lucas so bad.

It depends on to when you are referring. If you mean in 1x09 and onward, I disagree (but am still kinda on the fence). If you mean 1x07 and earlier, I agree.

There's no question that Brooke suspected Peyton had feelings for Lucas because Brooke mentions it several times. From 1x02 until 1x07 Brooke consistently asks Peyton how she feels about Lucas and Peyton consistently denies having feelings for him. Then when Peyton got an opportunity to be with Lucas (a big part because Brooke pushed her into it by daring her to show Lucas her true feelings), Peyton turned Lucas down. So I am agreeing with this statement because I think Brooke taking off her bra in Lucas's back seat, asking him his favorite sexual positions, and offering to get naked for him in her hot tub were all messed up since she suspected Peyton had feelings for Lucas. But then when Peyton not only kept denying her feelings for Lucas, but then also turned him down when she had the opportunity to be with him... I think he became "fair game" because as someone who didn't watch Peyton's private moments or Leyton's private moments (the way we as viewers did)- all Brooke heard was Peyton saying she didn't want to be with Lucas, and all Brooke saw was Peyton kiss Lucas when she was mad at Brooke but then turn him down when they were alone. And then even after Brooke & Lucas hooked up, Brooke asked Peyton if she was okay with that and Peyton still said she didn't want Lucas. So while I definitely think Brooke shouldn't have gone after Lucas before 1x08, I kinda feel like she touched upon all the bases of being a good friend in terms of starting things with Lucas after that point (by talking to her before she hooked up with him, after she hooked up with him, and knowing that Peyton turned him down & it had nothing to do with Brooke).

I also wonder if there's much of a difference between this and when she first started dating Julian (well, I think the difference is it was way worse with Julian since they had been in love). Cause Peyton tells Brooke she was in love with Julian, and then when Brooke tells Peyton she won't date Julian- Peyton keeps saying it's fine. And Peyton did act a little confused about the situation and seemed slightly uncomfortable, but kept telling Brooke it was fine. As viewers we knew Peyton was over Julian, but for Brooke- it was the same situation she was previously in except that now she was told that Peyton used to love Julian, when she never was told Peyton liked or loved Lucas.

But without question I think Brooke's actions from 1x02-1x07 were inappropriate since she suspected her best friend liked the guy with whom she was flirting. But by 1x08 onward, I am not sure how I feel since by that point Peyton not only was denying her feelings but also had the opportunity to be with Lucas and turned him down.

Even though Brooke asked if it was ok for her to be with Lucas, she still knew how it was, she knew that Peyton (and here we have to all remember that Peyton was Brooke's best friend since childhood so Brooke knew her well enough to be aware of her insecusities and at least suggest that *maybe* since Peyton and Lucas did have mutual feelings they didn't just magically fade away just because Peyton turned him down) wouldn't just magically get over Lucas. I'm sure a part of Brooke always knew that LP feelings were always there but she willingly put herself in a situation where she would get hurt. I'm not saying I approve of LP doing what they did behind Brooke's back, but Brooke wasn't innocent in that situation either. She knew that feelings is something you can't just control, she already went after Lucas when she 100 percents knew about Peyton's feelings for him and I believe a part of her always knew about LP not being over each other.

I soooo agree with that. Brooke knew PERFECTLY what was going on & yet she was too self-centerd to let go of a hottie she was simple attracted to, while her so called best friend already had feelings for him! As maryksand already said, it doesn't matter that Peyton denied her feelings - Brooke knew her entire life, she could easly read between the lines if only she wanted to - but she didn't. How many times we know something about our friends, even if they say otherwise? What happend lated, the cheating, it was wrong. But Brooke was wrong first, whhen she pursued & jumped into the bed of a guy her bff, "whe meant everything to her" had feelings for. And than she dared to accuse Peyton of being terrible friend, like she did nothing wrong...

I agree that Brooke has asked Peyton if she had feelings for Lucas and Peyton told her no (and I can totally understand why she told her no since it was really hard for her to let people in ) but OMG Brooke KNEW that Peyton did have feelings for him and I don't say this because they were best friends and they knew each other that well which is true at some point but at 1x07 Brooke was trying to make things work between Peyton and Nathan so Peyton would stop being close with Lucas and after that Brooke could get her chance with him . Obviously she could see the whole flirt thing going between LP and because she liked Lucas only in a sexual way back then -{IMO} while Peyton fell for him- she was saying "lies" to both Nathan and Peyton so they could get back together .
