When tu are a pop superstar with millions of teenage girls falling at your feet it is pretty easy to, uh, enjoy the benefits of being a teen idol por dating many girls; however, Justin Bieber isn't your regular teen idol and that is why he is pledging to "stay pure" for the right woman in his life. In an interview with E! News, Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, reveals that Justin has a strict code of ethics when it comes to the fairer sex:

Many were and still are a huge fan of Justin Bieber. Justin was every girl's dream guy. He had the looks and the popularity. Now Justin has gone from being a good well behaved superstar to a bad superstar. I myself like Justin but I am not that big of a fan anymore because of his video for Boyfriend. Little kids like him and now they are going to see him all over a girl. Not a great example for kids. Justin Bieber needs to try to clean up himself. I know he cannot do anything about his video but he can set a better example.
