NOTE: I screened all of these entries personally. If tu publicado a poem, but don't see it up here, it's because tu didn't follow one of the link. If I doubted a poem's relation to the theme and asked tu to justify it, and tu did not justify it at all, o well, then tu won't find your poem here. If tu didn't reply to my preguntas asking tu to fix your poem so it fit into the five rules linked above, then your poem won't be here. This is to clear up any confusion.
If, however, tu did follow all the rules and don't see it up here, it was probably due to human error, so por all means e-mail me and let me know.

Snow in the Desert por Contestant Number 1
The girl sat cross-legged
Among The swirling sand
Thinking of winters
And a thing called snow
Covering The ground in a pure white blanket
Eyes closed she reached out
Half expecting to feel a numbing cold
But was scorched por the sand
She opened her eyes
Letting in the glare of the midday sun
And resumed weaving a basket
For those in the west
Who would never know her name
With her sore, raw hands
Under the burning sun
But her mind stayed in winter
Always in Winter
One Of Them por Contestant Number 2
Beating hands
and floating tears,
Summed up por a thousand fears.
Say what tu want,
but we aren’t free,
and we dream that one día we can flee.
They are laughing
while we are crying,
and our little world is slowly dying.
Every day
and every night,
promise me that tu won’t fight.
Do tu Know This Face por Contestant Number 3
I just need one moment, can tu spare it?
She’s been missing for six weeks.
Please, just tell me, I can’t bare it,
are tu familiar with these cheeks?
these eyes? this mouth? this nose? this face—
tu say you’ve seen this weathered child
in some black and rancid place?
in dreams? in songs? in cities wild?
She is your daughter, claimed por the streets?
Your mother, lost to the viral lesion?
Your sister, raped in bloody sheets?
Your lover, beaten for false treason?
tu tell me that tu know this face,
and that you’ve seen her everywhere.
Do tu know the human race?
The race that’s won por those who wear
the weaker ones into the ground
and por the grace of their despair
the lucky ones are never found.
They evaporate into the air.
Between these dissonant rhyming cords
do tu see the face of a Valiente girl?
And do tu hear the roaring hoards
rising up against the violent world
and screaming loud, with one accord
that they will not take it.
Not anymore.
He Cheats And She Feels It por Contestant Number 4
tu used to be all she talked about,
now your all she cries about.
tu used to be the one,
until tu got lost
With your charming, cheating fun.
She would get anxious when tu came around,
Now she can't even look at you.
She was so strong,
until tu broke her down.
Your self-pity
Your unawareness of her feelings
Your carelessness
Your cluelessness
Your anger
Your cheating
The animal you've become
Has hurt her
Has damaged her
Has broken her
Has shut her down
Has killed her.
She's holding on por a string
She's still strong enough
To walk strong against the anguish rain.
The rain is the hurt
Its the tears
Its the stress and the pain
The scars and wounds
The sickness and the cold
That tu showered upon her.
That tu put her through.
That tu made her suffer through,
because of your selfish pity.
Have tu recovered from your blindness now?
Libertas por Contestant Number 5
What would tu do if tu were free?
If tu were free, who would tu be?
Now, tell me friend, where would tu go,
And everyone you'd like to know?
If only tu were free?
If I were free I would do,
Everything I wanted to.
I'd take long walks along the beach,
o lie in cama with all in reach.
If I were free, that's what I would do!
If I were free, I would be;
Me and only me!
How else would I live my life?
As anyway else would give me strife.
If I were free, that's who I'd be!
If I were free, I would go,
The furthest that anyone can know!
America, Spain, Timbuktu,
I'd even go to Australia Zoo.
If I were free, that's where I'd go!
If I were free, I'd like to know,
Everyone I do not know!
I'd amor the good, but the bad
They drive me crazy, make me mad.
If I were free, that's who I'd like to know!
As I am free I wish I can,
Free every woman, every man!
For every girl and every boy
I'd give them every single toy.
And let everyone do whatever they can!
Battle por Contestant Number 6
tu go to cama happy.
tu go to cama well.
Then tu wake up sick.
You're rushed to the hospital.
You're lest with no help.
You're poked and you're prodded.
It feels like hell.
tu wish it was over.
tu wish all was swell.
Finally it's over.
All test have been run.
tu hoped for the best,
so tu can have fun.
You're stuck there for days,
before respuestas come.
They say tu have cancer,
tu have to stay.
Days turn to weeks.
There tu lay.
Misery comes with each passing day.
Hate comes in every way.
Now tu wake up,
days after chemo.
Your hair lies around you.
No comfort tu find.
tu can only hope.
Each día brings tears.
tu fight with your hardest,
but it wasn't enough.
In the end tu lost.
But tu learned alot more.
tu know tu helpd others.
tu settled the score.
tu couldn't and wouldn't,
ask for anything more.
Now all tu want,
is to be able to rest.
For your famliy to be happy.
tu wish tu could help them,
through the pain,
but tu can't,
tu can only watch,
from the sky.
tu can only watch them cry.
Hearts are now broken.
But your love,
is forever out spoken.
For twith out you,
there'd be no hope,
for those to come.
tu put the doctors one step closer,
to finding the cure.
tu may be just another person to them,
but to me your so much more.
Your one in a million,
your unequie.
I have just one más thing to say.
Plaese rest now.
Rest now and sleep.
May heven bring tu happiness and peace.
