Hugh and Lisa rented a car as fast as they could and drove to the hospital where her mother was being kept. “Bonnie Edelstein.” Lisa told the nurse at the desk. “Floor 2. Room 89.” The nurse replied after looking on her computer screen. They quickly got up to floor 2 and looked for room 89. Lisa opened the door and looked for anyone she knew and found her family. “Lisa!” Her mom dicho reaching her arms out for her to come. Lisa gave her mother a hug and kissed on the cheek. “It’s so good to see tu dear. tu really didn’t have to come though.” Her mother insisted. “Mom, tu had a corazón attack. I think I needed to come.” She said.
Hugh stood over in the corner and nobody had really noticed him…yet. Lisa took a moment to stare at her mother and also gave her family hugs as well. “Oh, I’m sorry. Everybody this is Hugh. Hugh Laurie.” Lisa grabbed Hugh’s hand and pulled him out of his hiding place in the corner. “Hugh! Come here!” Her mother dicho and he obeyed. They hugged eachother and gave eachother a kiss on the cheek. “It’s so nice to finally meet you. Lisa talks all about you…all good of course. And she is definatley right about the handsome part.” They all laughed at this. “Alvin Edelstein.” Her father dicho shaking Hugh’s hand. “Nice to meet tu sir.” Hugh dicho politley. “Firm handshake. Called me sir. 2 down 1 más to go.” Her father dicho smiling.
Lisa’a eyes lite up with excitement because she knew men were hard to pease her father and many of her ealier boyfriend didn’t paa his checking sytem. “That’s daddy’s way of saying he likes you.” Lisa explained. “So how long are tu 2 staying Lise?” Her sisiter Karen asked. “I think we’ll stay for 2 days. We have to get back for shooting and 2 days is jus enough time for the producers to replan giving the information they just got.” Lisa dicho looking at Hugh once and then her mother. Her sister had the feeling that something was up so she decided to ask. “What’s the new information?” Karen asked. Lisa and Hugh both looked at eachother and she didn’t even have to say anything and he nodded. “We’re preganant.” She said.
“What?! Seriously? That’s so great!” Her sisiter dicho giving her a hug. “You amor my little girl?” Alvin asked Hugh being completley serious. “Yes sir. With all my corazón sir.” Hugh replied. “If she get’s sick what do tu do?” Alvin asked. “I spend the rest of my days caring to her every needs and wants and makes sure she get’s better sir.” Hugh replied. “Would tu ever do anything to hurt my little girl?” Hugh was asked once again. por now the whole room was silent. “Never in my life time o after, sir.” Hugh replied. “Are tu going to support and amor this baby?” “I am going to do that and más sir. I will support, love, care for, cloth, feed, anything and eveyrthing sir. When Lisa does not want to I will do it. I will be there for her and this baby sir.” Hugh replied. Lisa was near tears por now. There was a silence in the room.
“Son. I believe tu are pretty damn worthy to be with my daughter.” Alvin replied with a slight smile and a handshake. “Thankyou daddy.” Lisa dicho hugging her father. “He’s a good man.” He whispered. “I know.” She dicho near tears. She let her father go and turned to Hugh and hugged him tight. “I amor you.” She whispered in his ear now crying. “I amor tu too.” He was now about to cry himself. “Hey what’s up with the amor fest?” All of a sudden her brother Steve walked in. “Steve!” Lisa siad and threw er arms around him. “Hey Lise! They all talked for about another hora before the nurse came in with the doctor. “Mrs. Edelstein. tu may leave right now but we prefer tu stay overnight just to be safe.” The doctor said. “I’m leaving now.” Mrs. Edelstein dicho smiling. “Mom, I think tu should stay overnight.” Lisa said. “Lisa, I have to go inicial so I can make all of everybody’s meals and entertain them. I’m nto going to stay in here while tu eat microwave dinners.” She said. Everyone that knew Bonnie Edelstein knew that she was also very headstrong. Once she set her mind to something there was nothing anyone could do to talk he rout of it. “Fine.” She dicho putting her hands up in defeat and returning to Hugh’s side. Everyone tried to talk her out of it as she got up but noone could.
So they all gathered up their stuff and headed back to their own cars and drove to Lisa’s old home. “It hasn’t changed one bit.” She dicho as they pulled into the driveway. “ow! We just got here…is it because of your sisiter?” He asked still hugging her. “Yes! She’s such a slut. Everytime I have a boyfriend that she meets she ends up having him. I ahte it! That’s why I didn’t tell her about my last 2 boyfriends.” She dicho looking at him. “She’s not going to steel me. If she tries to I’ll just call tu over and I know you’ll beat the crap out of her. Karen sat on one side of House and Lisa the other. por the looks Lisa was giving Karen she knew to stay her distance at the table. “Here we are.” Bonnies dicho setting down the speghetti and saice. She made one special for Lisa because she is a vegetarian. Everyone digged in and had casual conversations…everyone except for Hugh and Lisa. They just ate in silence, once in a while looking at eachother. “So, Hugh? What’s it like dating Lisa and then having to work with her? I mean your with her all día pretyy much…doesn’t she get annoying?” Her brother asked. She laughed and gave him the finger as they drove past. “there’s the old a pake.” She dicho as they approched the water. ‘What’s a pake?” He asked parking the mule. “It’s out nickname for it. It’s too big for a pond and too small for a lap. A pake.” She dicho handing him the fishing poles. “I know the perfect spot where all the pescado are.” She dicho grabbing his free hand and pulling him. “The only thing is is that it’s really muddy getting there and the mula won’t go through ir so we’re stuck walking.” She dicho as they went on. “You mean I’m stuck walking. I’m not having my pregnant wife push her way through mud and swamp.” He dicho picking her up without any hassle.
She smiled and wrapped her arms around his enck and kissed him. “Hey! Lovebirds! Mommy and daddy are coming.” Her brother yelled warning them. Her mother and father didn’t like seeing them kiss o anyone else for that matter unless it was at weddings. they made it over to a little spot where there was no mud nor tall grass. It was a clear spot with lawn chairs. He set her down in the lawn chair and kissed her forehead. “So is there any rules to this o what?” He asked standing and waving to the others at different spots on the pake. “You have to wait for my father to yell go and then the person, o couple in our case, with the most pescado caught wins. Dad will come around with our buckets for the pescado in a minute.” She explained. “We’re eatign them?” He asked. “No. We let them go at the end.” She replied closing her eyes and enjoying the sun.
About 5 minutos later Alvin came around with a blu buket. ‘Here tu go.” He dicho handing Hugh the bucket. “Did Lise explain the rules and everything?” He asked. “Yes.” Hugh replied. “Well, tu two got the post spot so tu just might have a chance at winning.” Alvin walked off and on to the siguiente person. “Your dad and mom are nice people.” He dicho sitting in the chair siguiente to her. “So they’re not annoying are they?” She asked worriedly. “No. No. No. Why would tu think that?” He asked holding her hand. “Sometimes my boyfriends think they are annoying.” She replied looking into his eyes. “Well maybe that’s because none of your boyfriends have passed the test.” He boasted. “Maybe.” She laughed at him and shivered a little. “Cold?
