So I wanted to make this quick-ish articulo about how the fan of the mes thing works. Who knows, maybe some of tu who didn't want to participate before may want to now! These things are usually done in más active spots like spots for couples o popular tv shows, but this spot is NOT really that active and that's why I wanted to do this contest thing. I want to encourage más activity! So here's just a general preguntas frecuentes about FOTM! I hope tu participate!
How is the FOTM determined?
A pick will be made (by me) with usernames of the people who have participated within this spot in the last month. Then users will vote for who they think has done the best job. The pick will close at a certain date, and whoever has the most votos then will be FOTM.
Can I vote for myself?
Well yeah sure! I can't tell tu who to vote for. If tu think you've done a good job with the spot and have participated feel free to vote for yourself and/or add your name to the pick!
How do I get others to vote for me?
por participating of course! tu can add yourself to the pick and vote for yourself, but the only way to guarantee tu will get votos is por participating in the spot! Sending messages o leaving comentarios to people to vote for tu is just in bad taste. So please try to avoid that.
What influences a vote?
Like I've said, activity in the spot. Here's a little lista of things that might influence a user to vote for you.
Videos - Adding trailers, movie clips, interviews, etc to the spot.
Pictures - Adding wallpapers, photos, icons, screencaps, and/or fan art with proper credit.
Picks - Adding picks, coming up with creative picks, etc.
Links, Articles, Trivia, Forum - Also generally anything in these sections.
Comments - comentarios are really crucial to the spot. Sure, lots of things can be added to the spot but if nobody comentarios on them how do we know if they like it o not?!
Do I win anything?
Um, bragging rights? A sense of superiority? FOR A WHOLE MONTH! I mean, how cool is that?! tu deserved it after all, for being FOTM in the horror movie spot of all spots. I think it would also be a pretty cool idea to conduct an interview with the winner, which will be publicado here. The preguntas would be horror-related of course. But in short, no tu don't win anything material at least.

For example, if tu see someone has added a lot of great fotos to the spot in November 2008, they should not qualify for your vote in FOTM. This is fan of the MONTH, whoever has participated the most within the mes of the contest.
So, I hope that was not too confusing and I start seeing a lot más activity in the spot! This is supposed to be fun, I don't want to encourage any harsh competitiveness! Just do your best to participate and enjoy!
