Which character(s) do tu think are misunderstood?

Vriska.

In the beginning, I, along with the vast majority of the homestuck fandom, hated her. But looking back, she may have done some bad things, and she may have caused some problems, but she's one of the few trolls who is willing to get her hands dirty and make sacrifices for what could turn out to be the greater good. Are her methods unorthodox? Sure they are. But she doesn't care what others think of her. She does what she has to do in order to make things better in the long run. In the present, her actions seem a little reckless and self-centered.

Maybe they're not the right choices, but she really tries.

Eridan. People seem to think he was a misunderstood lonely baby. He isn't. He killed the girl he "loved" out of jealousy. That's all there is to it. I like Eridan, but people who try to justify his actions por making up excuses bother me a bit. I know it's their interpretation of what he did... but still. A lot of the trolls are, actually.
Dave is often misunderstood as well; people like to portray him as some angsty-angst machine.

I feel like almost all of them get mischaracterized quite a bit. The two that come to mind are Eridan and Vriska (that's just because I've been thinking about them lately).

Mituna is misunderstood as a weirdo due to the fact of his mental disabilities. It makes his words jumbled and he has a lisp so he appears confused and weird. He also always wears a casco which makes him look weird. Kurloz is believed to be scary because of how he is. His mouth is sewn shut and he wears a outfit that makes him look like a skeleton. Personally, Kurloz simply gives off a creepy vibe.

Most of the characters are misrepresented por the fandom. I have to say, though, that Eridan's character is probably the most butchered, although Rose's has also taken quite abeating in some respects.

Eridan. Definitely Eridan. He's gone through so much. I think people hate on him too much for his actions, which he felt were totally justified. And to me, that is the only reason someone should do something (in homestuck only, of course). Yes, he acted like a dick on some occasions. Yes, he killed some of his friends. But think about it. People who hate him don't try to see the other side of what he's done. It's almost like everyone's judging a book por it's cover, but they've merely skimmed the pages instead of fully lectura and understanding.
(I really hate how Sollux picks on Eridan like he does. I'm glad Eridan knocked the shit out of him. But don't get me wrong- when he's not hatin' on Eridan I like him.)
