Although, honestly it doesn't bother me. I don't think it's going to be better now than it will in October. (I think it'll be worse now, actually, since that first million are basically beta testers.)

But no email has come to me yet, how long did it take for other people's emails to come, and what were they like?

It can take several hours to get the e-mail, so don't worry if you don't have it yet! Basically the e-mail just tells you to click a link to verify your registration. After that you can sign in to Pottermore and the site will congratulate you on being one of the few to have access before October. It's pretty exciting! :)
