I'm not too interested in a sequel. Harry's big purpose (taking down Voldemort) is complete, and I think anything else he did would feel anticlimactic after that, I could enjoy a story about it, but not novel length, and I'm not really interested in the adventures of the next gen (especially as if it involved Harry's kids it would still have to involve Harry. He's loyal and has a hero complex, no way his kids get into any significant adventures without him finding out and stepping in imo, and as I said, I think Harry stories came to their right end).

I'd be more likely to really enjoy a prequel, there are characters we are invested in, living out stories we are invested in but don't have the insight or knowledge of that we do of Harry's generation, and there is still the looming threat at that point, so it wouldn't feel like something taking place after the most interesting chapter of the character's lives had already finished. If there had to be something more I'd most like one of Dumbledore's earlier years (I'm especially interested in his sister personally, but the whole thing), the founders of hogwarts, or the previous generation and first war.

I agree with Vixie and Mermaid-Tail. I don't want JK to write another HP book but, if she were to, I'd much rather it be a prequel.

I would like to know more about the Marauders/Lily/Snape and Dumbledore's earlier years. I totally agree with Mermaid-Tail too.

If I had to, I'd choose...a sequel.
Prequels suck.
They can ruin epic things like Star Wars.
