Hi everyone, since the release of the book here in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago. Here are my thoughts and why I'm excited to get the soft cover copy of the book soon, as well as my expectations.

The Characters

Okay, since the characters are the same. Despite that it's set several years after the events of the Deathly Hallows, it also features Harry's segundo son, Albus in it and will continue the Potter bloodline in the story.
I am very happy that the majority of the old characters, including Harry, Ron and Hermione are all back. Not to forget, Draco Malfoy, Harry's nemesis and his son too,...

The wizarding population in the UK and on the planet?

Obviously it's not in billions. And magic is rare.

So, how rare might it be?
First I'll address some research arguments I found on link and gave some though to.

They seemed to conclude that there'd be approximately 300.000 to 1.000.000 magical people on the entire planet.
Basing on, for example:

”The room for 100.000 at the World Cup.”
Speculated to give some idea of the total number of magical people in the world...I guess because it's the World Cup and witches and wizards don't have televisions...This stadion room was believed to be for approx. 1/3 o 1/10 of the total world population of magical...

Many Harry Potter fans were already adults when the first Harry Potter movie got out in the theaters. Many other fans were not even born. But most of us were kids just like Harry, Ron and Hermione.
We sure felt connected to them and hoped that one día somebody as huge as Hagrid would knock our door and announce us that we are accepted to the best wizzarding school.
