When I woke up, not even the dreary weather could dampen my mood. I had a spring in my step, just waiting, waiting waiting for 8:00 in the Library. People notice it, too, especially my friends.
''Rosie.. tu haven't been this way since last year. Are tu sure you're okay?'' Aimee's eyes are filled with suspicion.
''I'm amazing,'' I say, and actually smile. My muscles aren't used to it, my face has been locked into a grimace for the last few weeks. But I'm determined to change that: mostrando Hugo that I'm strong might make him think about what he's done to me, to our family.
I never thought he would actually betray them, but I was wrong. So, thanks to another 'Family Meeting' in Hagrid's hut, we're all looking spirited and determined. Of course, for me it's easier since I have something to be happy about: My meetings with Scorpius. But for Lily, it's not easy.
Hugo has always been Lily's #1 friend, her guide, her partner in life. But now he's gone, and Lily has no one. But that's not really true, Lily has friends, but it'll never be the same for her. Even her friends notice Hugo's absence: but we're all slowly getting used to it. Sort of.
And the worst thing about it is our parents don't even know. I haven't had the corazón to write to my mother, and I don't think Hugo has either. I would've definitely heard from my father if he wrote to them. That's what bothers me: That even though Hugo has been nasty to me, to our cousins, to our aunts and uncles, .. he has the guts to do it to our parents.
And it breaks my heart.

Astronomy, 1:00
Astronomy still is my favorito! class. He's the only reason I'm happy: Scorpius. I never really talked to him, I always followed my father's consejos from before I started school: ''Make sure tu beat him in every test, Rosie.'' But now that we're partners it's different. He's actually a really good friend. But being his friend makes me wonder if I'm being a hypocrite. All year, I've been bashing Hugo about being friends with Slytherins. And here I am, becoming friends with one myself.
It makes me wonder what my father would say. But at this moment, I don't care. All that matters is that I'm happy right now.
''So, I'm almost done with my half of the project, just leading up to the 18th Century.'' He smiles. ''You?''
I'm already done with my part, because I work fast. But if I told him that our meetings in the biblioteca would be over, and he'd just become a classmate in the corridors again. So, I make a small lie. ''Almost done,'' I say, and it's half true. I haven't checked my work yet, so I'm not technically done. But then, I get a small pang of sadness. I remember what Louis dicho at our last 'Family Meeting', which occurs every other day.
We've had to schedule it late today, which means.. no meeting with Scorpius. I hesitate to tell him, to maybe just skip one family meeting. What would I miss? All we ever do is talk about Hugo, and that's really a lost cause.
But if I skipped, I would be defying them too. And I'm not turning into Hugo, not on my watch. So I try to blurt out my bad news as quickly as possible.
''Ican'tgotothelibrarytoday.'' I say, all in one breath. It takes me a segundo to realize my words must've sounded like garbling nonsense.
''Sorry..what?'' He asks, and a small grin comes onto his face.
I blush the color of my hair. ''I can't go to the biblioteca today..'' I mumble, and look down.
''Rose, it's okay. I can do reports por myself, tu know..'' I smile. I haven't made a new friend in such a long time. It feels nice.
I just hope going to this meeting is worth skipping out on Scorpius.

The Family Meeting, Hagrid's Hut, 9:00
We were waiting for James. It was 9:00, an hora after the meeting was supposed to start. Nobody knew why he was late, not even Albus and Lily. They dicho that he wasn't upset all day, and that he seemed fine.. but we were worried. What happened to him?
''Maybe we should just start.'' Dominique said. ''We can fill James in when he gets here.''
''No.'' Louis dicho firmly. ''We're waiting.''
And waiting. And waiting.
Finally, James walks in the door, soaking wet. For the first time in an eternity, I see Lily laugh. ''What happened?'' She giggles.
''Two students were having a fight and I broke it up,'' He dicho angrily. ''Then, the one of them just started to make it rain.'' I stifle a laugh. ''Idiot.''
We make room for James, and then Louis, (who is our 'head member' of our family council) begins to speak.
''All we've been doing for the past couple weeks is discussing our feelings,'' Louis says. ''We need to do more.''
Our heads nod in agreement. Even Victoire mutters, ''Got that right.''
''So, we need to come up with a plan.'' To my surprise, Lily snorts sarcastically.
''You mean, fight? That worked out well the first time.'' At this, all of our heads look at Louis with a She's right expression on our faces.
''I wasn't going to say that,'' He blushes, ''But thanks for your comment, Lily. For the past weeks, I have, actually, been coming up with a plan to get Hugo back.''
None of us say anything, but I know that our opinions differ on this. Mine, personally, is that it's never going to work. I know Hugo is a lost cause.
''So, the first person we need in our plan is..'' He takes a dramatic pause. ''Lily.''
The sarcastic grin on her face disappears instantly. ''And what exactly do tu need me for? I'm not agreeing to anything I don't know about.'' James and Albus are hiding grins, because it's almost like the old Lily is back. Almost.
Louis actually looks taken aback, surely thinking that Lily was only going to mumble an 'okay'. But then he speaks, and his plan is generally along the lines of this:
1. Lily is going to go to Hugo and explain that she's on his side, and wants to be part of his crew.
2.(a) If #1 works, then Lily will become a spy for us, telling us all the information we need for the rest of the plan. If it doesn't work..
(b) If #1 doesn't work, then we get Lily's friend Tamara to do Lily's job. We know Hugo will trust her: She's Lily's closest friend.
3. Once we get all the information we need, we get Lily/Tamara to bring us the horcruxes.
4. We destroy the horcruxes.
I personally think the plan is dangerous. If we destroy the horcruxes, then somebody is going to disappear. Like Voldemort, when Harry destroyed his. It's the only major flaw in the plan. But, otherwise.. it could work.
We all agree that we'll try our best with it, but we all know that most of it falls on Lily's shoulders. James doesn't look too happy with it, but he doesn't say anything. I suppose he knows that there's really nothing he can do: it's the only plan we've got.
At this, the meeting ends, and James, Lily, Al, and I turn to leave. I suddenly notice Lizzie and Aimee's absence: but I'll ask them about it later.
I catch up to James, and try to start a conversation. ''You okay?'' I ask. ''You look upset.''
''The only thing I don't get is why Lily has to do it all,'' He says angrily. ''Everyone knows that she's hurt por this, a lot. And yet Louis still asks things of her.'' He glares at the path under his feet.
''I know, I noticed that too..'' I say. ''But tu know Lily is strong. She'll be able to do it. And besides, if she can't, we have Tamara.''
''But what if Tamara doesn't want to do it?'' I find myself thinking that too. ''I honestly wouldn't blame her.'' He's still glaring at the ground.
''We'll be able to get it done,'' I say, trying to be reassuring. ''You know that we will.''
But I sound like I'm trying to convince myself of that más than him.

This is the moment where our plan goes into action. Lily can't even talk to us this morning, she has to go straight to the Slytherin table. James is worried, but Albus has faith. I think he knows that Lily can do it.
It's a tense moment for our family. Lizzie is actually eyeing the door nervously, anticipating Lily's arrival.
Lily enters.
She looks defiant, like nothing can stop her. But I've known Lily all her life: I know that on the inside, she's terrified. Everyone in our little corner of our mesa, tabla is trying not to watch Lily intently, because it would give us away. But it's hard not to. We're watching her like a hawk, and the long waited moment comes.
Lily takes a asiento at the Slytherin table.
