Two horcruxes should've been destroyed in the Chamber of Secrets

Basilisc venom can destroy horcruxes, right? So when Harry got bitten por the basilisc in the chamber, why didn't the bit of Voldemort die right then and there? Did...
a) Fawkes' tears heal Harry before the bit died completely
b) The vennom go for Harry's soul and not Voldemort's?

- Fawkes' tears healed Harry before he died therefore Voldemort's piece of soul in him could not have disappeared.
- Venoms attack bodies, not souls.

Harry had to be killed to have Voldemort's bit of soul in him to be destroyed. In the Forbidden Forest, the Dark Lord used a surefire way of killing him : the Killing Curse. With the results we know.

That's true, but Hecate is talking about the part of Voldemort's soul that lives inside Harry (the 7th Horcrux), not the Riddle that came out of the diary. She's asking that because basilisk venom can destroy horcruxes, it's possible that the venom had a chance of killing Voldemort's soul while penetrating Harry's body.

Yeah but the venom hadn't spread the whole way around, and because Ginny wasn't dead it couldn't kill voldemort because he still wasn't returned!!!
