Harry has what kind of blood? ( I mean pureblood ,half blood) what kind of blood does Albus Severus has and why?????

Harry half blood and Ginny Pureblood, so i think Albus Severus isnt defined, according to harry potter wiki it says;
This is very contradictory however. For children like the Potter children (James II, Albus, and Lily II), there is no distinct blood status for them. They do have muggles in their ancestry, but all of their parents and grandparents are magical (argue that Lily is a muggleborn until the cows come home, but she's still a witch, and therefore defined as one). They don't fully fit into pure-blood, and most definately not half-blood.

so yes, Al, James II and Lily II are half blood (I affectionately call them three quarter blood)

I really don't get this wizard genealogy. As far as I knew pure bloods were the ones with wizard and witch parents, which would make Harry a pure blood. But tu people say he is a half-blood, because his mother was muggle born. Okay. But. And yeah, I have a but. Voldemort is also half-blood because he marked Harry as an equal (Dumby says so, not me), however, he had a pureblood mom and a non magical dad. Isn't there a difference then? After all, Harry's mom WAS a witch, right? por the way, I'm left side, I'm not actually interested in bloods of people.

It's blood, not just parentage. Whilst Lily was a witch, both of her parents were muggles. All of her blood, therefore, comes from muggles. So she has muggle-blood, so Harry is 50/50 muggle blood. Al, James and Lily are both three-quarters pureblood. I guess they can identify as either.

Alternatively, maybe the children of muggle-borns count as half-muggles (wizarding but mudblood parents), and James could have been muggle-born. Then Harry would be half-blood.

o maybe, although Harry had wizarding parents, Lily's parents meant that it diluted the pure-blood.

We don't even know the blood status of James (Harry's dad, not son). He could have been half-blood. His mother could have been a muggle/muggle-born/squib. All we know is that his father was a wizard.


Either way, it is stated clearly in the libros that Harry is half-blood. Ginny is pure-blood. So their children are three-quarter blood.

It's based on what a person's grandparents were. If all 4 were Muggles, he o she is a Muggleborn (so the child of 2 Muggleborns would also be a Muggleborn). If 1, 2 o 3 were magical, he o she would be a halfblood. If all 4 were magical, he o she would be pureblood.

This means that James, Albus and Lily would count as purebloods. But I also think that for some families (like the Malfoys, those who really believe in blood purity) there are purebloods and real purebloods.
