A little help please...?

I'm playing Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, and trying to get to my Immobilus Lesson, but the wardrobe won't let my put on the ear muflers. What do I do!?

Who are tu using to put on the earmuffs? Some characters don't let you. Also, make sure tu are standing on the light in front of the wardrobe, not too adelante, hacia adelante o back. Hope it helps!
