Harry nervously flattened his hair as he stood under the flowery altar waiting for the música to to start. His best friend Ron was standing beside him, tugging at the collar of his black dress robes, obviously the heat was bothering him. Harry flattened his hair again.
“Seriously Harry stop it! You're making me nervous and I'm not even getting married! Oh and one más thing. I know this is completely the worst time to tell tu this, but if tu hurt my sister i will kill you!” Ron whispered to Harry, this time tugging on the flor pinned to his robes. Harry guessed that was bothering him too.
Harry sighed and looked around the tent. Above him the altar, that he and Ginny would soon be married under, was covered in hundreds of flowers, all different colours. Purple, orange, red, yellow. blue, green, rosado, rosa every colour Harry could think of and more. The golden marquee towered over their heads. Gold, silver and white ribbons wound their way like snakes, round the poles of the tent. Outside the marquee the trees had the same colour ribbons draped artistically over their branches.
Harry saw the oro jacketed waiters walking in and out of the tent which held the food. The band were standing por their instruments just inside the boundaries of the marquee.
Harry looked behind him. A long white carpet extended from the end of the marquee to the place where Harry and Ron were standing. There were about 10 rows of oro chairs on either side. Guests occupied all of the chairs, the Weasleys in the front row. Molly, Bill and Fleur, George and Angelina and their children and Charlie. Other guests filled the rest of the seats.
Harry had only seen The Burrow this done up two times before this. First, years hace at Bill and Fleur's wedding and then a few months hace at Ron and Hermione's. Harry had been best man for Ron and Ginny had been maid of honor to Hermione so now it was their turn. Harry turned back around.
“Ron” he whispered”I just want tu to know that the last thing i would do is hurt Ginny. Even if it meant hurting myself to keep her out of danger, I would.”
”Huh? I wasn't listening.” Ron whispered back
Harry rolled his eyes at Ron, who smirked back at him.
Just then the band chimed in and a soft peaceful, melody wove through the air. Harry flattened his hair again.
“You ready?” Ron whispered to Harry.
“Yeah.”
“And i meant to say, congratulations mate.” Ron reached up and ruffled Harry's hair. Harry elbowed him in the ribs.
The crowd sighed, and Harry heard footsteps behind him. He turned slowly. The first one he saw was Luna. She was wearing a light yellow dress that trailed along the floor. Her blonde hair cascaded over her face. She was wearing that dreamy expression she always wore, like her head was filled with Pixies and Nargles. Harry had asked Hermione to point out to Luna that rábano earrings probably weren't the best thing to wear for this particular occasion. Hermione had obviously passed on the message. She was carrying a small bouquet with the same flores that were on the altar.
After Luna came Hermione, her face practically glowing. She was wearing the same dress as Luna. Her brown hair, somewhat less bushy then normal, was out too. She smiled at Ron, who winked back. She tried to keep a composed face but a little giggle slipped through her mouth. Ron seemed to be pleased to get a reaction out of her. Harry rolled his eyes. Heaven forbid that they quit flirting with each other at his own wedding. Hermione was carrying a bouquet as well.
After Hermione reached the altar and stood in front of Luna, the crowd stood. Ginny came gliding down the aisle, Arthur at her side, his arm though hers. She was wearing a long white dress that trailed along the floor as Luna's had. Her long red hair, was piled on parte superior, arriba of her head with a little silver tiara. She was carrying a huge bouquet of the flores on the altar. Dozens of miniature multicoloured butterfly's and birds flew around her and trailed far away from her. When she reached the altar, she handed her bouquet to Hermione, and went to stand por Harry. Arthur kissed her on the cheek and went to sit por Molly, who grabbed his hand and held it tightly. She had tears in her eyes, and with her free hand was dabbing her eyes with a white handkerchief. The butterfly's and birds were now circling above their heads.
The minister started talking and Harry gazed at Ginny who gazed back.
After he and Ginny had exchanged vows, the minister declared them husband and wife.
“You may now kiss the bride,” he said.
Harry took Ginny's face in his hands and kissed her. After a few moments they broke apart to thunderous applause. The little butterfly's and birds exploded showering them with confetti. Harry put his arm around Ginny's waist and smiled at her. She smiled back. Ron, Hermione and Luna were the first to reach them. Ron patted him on the back and hugged his sister followed por Hermione and Luna, who hugged them both. Then Harry and Ginny were lost in a sea of hugs and Congratulations.
After everyone had congratulated them, the waiters signaled everyone to stand. The chairs vanished and a dozen round tables and chairs took their place. The waiters came round with little plates which had Firewhiskey, Butterbeer, Oak-matured mead, Cauldron cakes, sandwiches, treacle tart and calabaza Pasties.
“Man, that took forever” Ron complained after everyone had cleared.”Seriously, I'm starving.”
“Ron!” Hermione shrieked, slapping Ron on the arm.” Can tu for once keep your mind off your stomach? This is a wedding! Honestly mostrar some self control, your own sister and your best friend deserve it. And I'll have that!” She estola the tart, that he had just nabbed from a passing waiter, out of Ron's hand and popped it into her mouth.
“Hermione,” Ron complained, “If tu haven't realized por now that tu married a pig, tu never will. I thought tu were smarter then that” Hermione half smiled, half frowned. Ron gulped.
“You know how i am going to punish you?” Hermione dicho with a wicked smile.”I'm forcing tu to dance.” Before he could object she pulled him along to the dance floor.
Harry inclined his head toward the dance floor.”Shall we?” Ginny smiled at him and took his hand. He led her onto the dance floor. Suddenly they were twirling to the soft slow music.
After about half an hour, Molly came through the crowd with an enormous white cake. It had 3 layers. On the parte superior, arriba of the cake were a set of miniature Harry and Ginny dolls. The muñecas walked slowly around the cake, occasionally bending down to nibble on a bit of icing leaving little dents in the cake. Harry and Ginny both held the cuchillo as they cut the parte superior, arriba of the cake. The little Ginny dived out of the way just in time to prevent being sliced in half. They both took turns stuffing cake into each others mouths. After the cake was finished, in large part consumed por Ron, who was now on his sixth piece of cake, the guests all stood in line to give them their gifts.
They received new escoba sticks from Bill and Fleur, the clock from the burrow from the Weasleys, and, many other gifts including new dress robes, books, chocolates, money and a large stock of various candies from Ron, who felt that since he had bought the candies he had the liberty of eating them. Hermione scowled at him.
After all the guests had gone, Harry collected the little Harry and Ginny muñecas and the gifts and he and Ginny dicho their final goodbyes.
“Are tu sure tu wouldn't like us to stay and help clean up?” Harry asked uncertainly to Molly who was already cleaning up.
“No, no we're already half done. tu two go and enjoy yourselves!” Molly said, hugging Harry and besar Ginny on the cheek.
After they apparated to their little inicial in Godrics Hollow, they unlocked the door and stepped inside. Harry put the little muñecas on the ground, that had been riding on his shoulder. They ran round the house looking for a comfortable place to sleep. Ginny laughed and put a little almohada on the ground. They curled up on the almohada and fell asleep. Ginny took Harry's hand and led him to the sofa where they both flopped down. Ginny laid her head on his shoulder. Their cat jumped up on Ginny's lap and she looked down and patted it.
