They all have their good and bad qualities! Each one builds on the others. The Korean has the best over all but the end bugged me but the mother is amazing! The first season of the Japanese rocked and so did the movie but the second season was a chore to watch (except a few episodes). Meteor Garden is hard to compare because it was so much earlier than the others. Although i liked the fact that it was simple and stuck only to the main story line.

If i had to recommend only one to watch it would be the Korean. It is a hard decision because Matsujun is so hot!

I like both the Japanese and the Korean version, although after watching Hana Yori Dango, it was hrd to stay interested in Boys over flowers at first, but i stuck to it and it was worth it.

Meteor Garden (Taiwanese) is too long to watch that it becomes tiresome at times. Their clothes are somewhat lame even those who are supposedly rich wear the lamest clothes *cough* *cough* sleeveless on boys? They’re in their school campus for crying out loud, not on the beach. Their locations are so-so. If it weren’t for the love I have for Barbie Xu and Vic Zhou I don’t think I would have the will to finish watching this, I swear. And given the long episodes for both Season 1 and 2 you’d probably think they would be able to cover pretty much everything but NO at the very end the story it would give you an empty feeling. You gotta give it to the Taiwanese though since they’ve started all of these Hana Yori Dango drama adaptations.

Hana Yori Dango (Jap Version) --- this is my fave drama adaptation, I’ve never read the manga series but I’m hoping this adaptation is the closest since it’s from the Japs themselves. This is short but sweet and I love that when you watch seasons 1, 2 and the movie you won’t go to bed wondering what happened to this and that character. This version isn’t too popular in the Philippines because most people I think are still rooting for Meteor Garden and JVKV (formerly known as F4) when it aired on TV. But I seriously love their locations (*cough* *cough*New York *cough* *cough* Japan, among others) I love their houses and their school. I love everything about this series. Sure the boys aren’t as hot as the Korean version or as cute as Vic Zhou but the *butterflies* is there.

Boys Before Flowers (Korean) have the best-looking F4 ever!!! All of them are just too cute for words. Everything about this drama is beautiful like the locations, the boys’ clothes, the cars. I just hate Jan Di’s formal/party clothes --- it’s lame. but Jan Di’s casual jacket/sweaters are cute. This is my 2nd fave. Unfortunately the Korean version would also give you an empty feeling, so there.

The Japanese version is the best. It's funny and interesting .. You just can't help watching it. Though I kind of liked the Korean Version, bUt I still like The Japanese Version better. No comment in the Taiwanese version though.

haha. Korean f4 are handsome ( thanks for their surgery.) but they're not good at acting. They are so annoying. Jan Di is so stupid and annoying. She is not cute nor pretty. They are all MONSTERS bcoz they've been gone through knife.

OMFG!!!!!! HANA YORI DANGO ALL THE WAY!!! OF COURSE!!!!

The Japanese drama will always be my favorite, not only because it was the first one I saw out of the three, but also because it was the one that got me into Hana Yori Dango in general (a.k.a. the story plot). So even though I like the Korean drama so far (I've only watched 3 episodes so far XD) and I haven't watched Meteor Garden yet, Hana Yori Dango will be the closest to me, Jun Mastsumoto will always be Domyoji and Mao Inoue will always be Makino to me :)

I loved the Japanese Version best ;) but i picked meteor garden cos i watched it first and i was addicted to it back then. ;D Nostalgia ate me again :D

I like nishikado soujiro, so sexy!

There is also the Chinese version. It's just alright. They took too many liberties with the plot and Makino's character is too b*tchy.
