It is not the chemistry it is the timing, when they danced after the breakup, the chemistry jumped off the screen at you. They are so right for each other it would be a travesty if they wer4e not together, I would quit the show without a doubt.

Both Izzie and George have a bit of a self-esteem problem right now and need to find their way but when they do, I want it to be to each other. They make each other so happy, the way they look at each other, it is so obvious those two are crazy about each other and that kind of love is worth it, all the sacrifices and everything

They did not seem to find it weird when they were kissing like crazy in the elevator, in fact Izzie seemed to want much more of it. Shonda said it was timing and guilt. The chemistry was full force before and it was there when they danced. That kiss was the hottest thing in the world. Mer asked if they were sibling or sexy love and Izzie looked at her like she was deranged. They also made love for hours on end and had great sex the first time around, the best sex of ehr life according to Izzie, and even the bad sex, you could never sleep with someone so many times if you consider them like a sibling. Many couples have had problems with sex on this show and others and it was not due to lack of love, it was always timing, pressure or something else.
When they were flirting in the hall in episode 2, you could just feel the sexual tension there. No cheistry, my eye.

I think they are amazing as a couple, the awkwardness is just something Shonda added at the last minute to add tension or to please the haters, who knows? They sure were not ill at ease when they danced like a COUPLE or when they flirted and almost made out in the hall or when they kissed in the elevator and their lips found each other their eyes closed like it was the most natural thing in the world and their lips were meant to be intertwined. They are the best couple in the world, I never shipped a couple in my life before but I cannot get enough of them. I thought of quitting the show last season but sticked around for them, so if they end, I am gone for good.

exactly what sophii said, i was just gettin back to liking the cahracters (after a huge whingefest of both of them) and then this happened and i think i just went oh noooo what are the writers doing now, cant izzie just be single or even george for that matter, and their elevator scene if you want to see it properly done you watc mer der seaosn 1 now thats an elevator scene, i dont like it that other characters are using mer der signature marks, think of new stories!

The Gizzie kiss IMHO is a million million times hotter. MerDer was just sexual. Gizzie was sweet, tender, hot, intimate. MerDer should take lessons from them on how to be both tender and sexy.
As for Alex, why should she give the loser a chance? he cheated on her and she never loved him.
Should she have gone out with him out of pity and ignored what her heart was telling her.
Elevators are not MerDer and Gizzie does it much better, MerDer seems about sex, Gizzie seems about love.

I agree that kiss between george and Izzie was the best kiss I have ever seen in 20 years of watching TV. MerDer was like throw-down. George and Izzie was them being totally lost in their love for each other, so romantic and intimate and sexy. I think I have watched the scene on Youtube about 100 times and the kiss has been put on Youtube about 7 times, LOL, so I think many many people loved it.
I want more of that, I miss Gizzie so much, their lips fit each other so well.
I will never give up on them.

I love them!!! the first time i saw a scene between them i fell in love with their whole relationship, they have a bond. i must admit george can be a loser sometimes and izzie can sometimes deserve better but i think they were meant to be!
