Lea may have a great voice but that's pretty much all that's she's got going for her cuz there's no way she compares to Cory I'm sorry!!! Cory is soooooooooo good at what he does, RIB just never gives him the opportunity to showcase his talents!!!

^That's fine we don't need to agree on everything besides I'm tired of people thinking Lea is better than Cory in EVERYTHING!! I never said she's bad but when it comes to acting there's just no way she tops Cory, the sad thing is if RIB actually cared about Finn enough to write him properly then fans might notice the difference! ^Sorry hun, Lea just doesn't do it for me. There's such a thing as meant to be over the top and is over the top, which I'm afraid she is. Besides Heather (although it's clearly the writers fault) and Ashley, everyone in the cast comes across as more believable. I'm not trying to diss anyone, clearly people have their favorites and she can sing I just don't really see her as a film actress it's not her field. Lea will definitely have a career in Broadway after glee though, I just see Cory as being one of the most sucessful and talented actors on the show:) People just need to give him a chance to stretch himself, RIB needs to give him a chance and stop throwing sh*tty scripts at him:/

^I don't know I'm starting to think maybe I should just give up on this show. I think I'm getting a little obsessive and besides I don't think I can stand seeing Finn become nothing but a shadow in season 3 as well as no interaction between Finn and Kurt. I just don't know anymore:(

FINN IS NOT CORY. Oh my gosh. I hate arguing with people, but you guys act like Finn having a bad role makes Cory the most hated actor on Glee. You guys are SO wrong. I'm not one to discourage people's opinions, but @ForsakenMoon19, you've just gone wacko!

Cory's a strong lead, but Lea has phenomenal comedic timing (for a theatrical actress) and can do hilarious over-the-top, as well as extremely subtle acting- Two completely separate sides of the acting spectrum. That's a talent every actor/actress wishes they had, but very few actually possess.

Don't get me wrong, her character makes me want to pull my hair out 75% of her screentime, but it dosen't take away the fact that Lea is EXTREMELY talented.

I feel like her acting ability encompasses a wider range than Cory's does.

^Agreed. We're all a community here. Some will have opinions stronger and more vocal then others, but I'd like to think at the end of the day its not a personal attack on anyone person (or character) just a different perspective on why he/or she feels a certain way about a particular character. Believe it or not, for as big as this spot is, its actually one of the least hostile fanbases I've come across on Fanpop.

it depends what genre of acting we're talking about really but for basic tv shows like glee i'm going to say Cory, Lea's a broadway actress, that requires you to act really over the top and everything which is actually and thankfully something that the character of Rachel requires, i think that's why Lea comes across as such an amazing actress when playing Rachel because the role was litterally made for her but if she was playing a role like Quinn or Santana i don't think she'd come across quite as talented purely because that kind of acting isn't in her genre, while Cory's character on the other hand wasn't "written with him in mind" and so i think his character would be harder for him to play but he really hasn't been given a chance to really show what he's got and if i hadn't seen him in so many other things in which i wouldn't believe he was the same person playing Finn if he didn't look the same then i probably wouldn't have picked him.
