Less surprise is the problem, but it wouldn't have been easy to go back and film the whole end of the episode. I would have said No if it was just the results, but then you have the following scenes up to the end.

I guess the surprise is in that you don't know if they changed the winners or not.

FYI: Nicole Crowther was an extra on Glee who spoiled the prom results. Brad Falchuck then sent a well-known firery Twitter response to her. It is unknown (but presumed, at least by me) if she was fired from the show.
