On the January installment of JTBC\'s \'Everybody,\' Girls\' Generation\'s Sunny appeared on the show to talk about various things, such as cooking ramen!

Kim Jong Kook asked, "Does Girls\' Generation eat ramen, too?  How do you cook it?" to which Sunny replied, "We\'re the type to follow the directions as is."  

Shin Bong Sun added, "Even ramen requires some cooking skill, no?  Even the same recipe can be different depending on the person.  Who makes the best ramen?"  Sunny answered, "All of us cook it well.  When it comes to cooking skill, I have that.  I\'m confident about that."

The show also talked about appearances as Sunny stated, "I easily get bloated.  My kidneys aren\'t good.  When I\'m tired, the skin under my eyes easily bloats, so I call them exhaustion pockets."  

She gestured towards Kim Jong Kook, saying, "You also have a bit of exhaustion pockets today," to which he said, "I always have them."

The food that she is talented in a cooking is actually making her bloated and her kidneys bad.

Yeah eating instant ramen regularly is not good for you. All the sodium that usually is in the flavoring for the noodles helps cause someone to retain water which will make you bloated. She\'d be better off keeping some low sodium chicken or beef bullion and a packaged of soba buckwheat noodles as those have some fiber and aren\'t as heavily processed as instant ramen.

I will donate my kidney to you Sunny! Oh wait, I eat to much ramen, so my kidneys aren\'t good. Well, at least I have something in common with SNSD. I eat ramen just like them!

She\'s probably wearing some makeup since it is TV, but certainly it is minimal. She\'s wearing eyeliner and BB cream at least it looks like and probably was powdered before going under the lights.

Sometimes it is very hard to understand the craze and obsession for such "ramen", which is nothing close to great cuisine, or of any deep history and tradition, or requires exquisite preparation. It is just instant noodles! Japanese ramen, soda, udon, chinese noodles of any variety, vietnamese noodles, thai noodles.... all this is way better.

umm no it\'s not. it\'s available fresh just like any other pasta

@wyliem yep it is the cup of noodles and instant ramen packs that are really bad due to preservatives, a pretty high amount of fat, and an insane amount of sodium. Freshly made ramen noodles or plain packaged noodles that haven\'t been processed to be instant aren\'t nearly as bad if you don\'t put them in a high sodium broth. Of course the best would be to use buckwheat soba noodles as they have more fiber than noodles made from refined flour.

@kzineza Yeah, it\'s something anyone can make and kind of create their own mix-ins at home even if you aren\'t much of a cook. Plus it is one of those snacks that hits the spot before or after a night of heavy drinking, which is common in Korea.

@wyliem don\'t know what to show you to show you are wrong. Have eaten packs of ramen, the sort sunny referred to, have been to korea and eaten the sort of ramen in restaurants.

@logica wo the fresh noodles i\'ve seen in the store and somebody replied here are just my imagination? i\'ve seen people make them with my own eyes

@wyliem there are of course fresh ones, but they are not what "ramen" in korean refers to.
