The episode left me with very mixed feelings.

I loved how the pace was quick and how it shows that the Small Council won't be able to control events unveiling thousand of miles away. The new bit between Robb and the Kingslayer was very well crafted. Dragonstone was very impressive as was the passage in the Red Waste and how they showed how very crowded and overpoppulated King's Landing is. And of course the massacre of Robert's bastards was well executed. But the whole scene on Dragonstone felt very rushed in. Lightbringer and its significance(or not) was confusing. Melisandre feels very cartoonish to me and not the powerful, beautiful and dangerous priestess of the books. On the Wall, Craster seems like a fat lord in the South and makes it quite ridiculous to consider that he can fend off while in danger by Manse Raider and the Others. The scene between Tyrion and Shae was pointless and a waste of screentime.

Just a small note about the difference between the books and the show. Why are they making Cersei and Catelyn too 'gentle' (to absolve them?)and why did they add Alton Lannister when there was already a character in the books that foreshadowed certain future bloody events?

Well there were really awesome scenes and really poor scenes as well. I really really loved the Daenerys scenes and the small council scene and Cersei vs Littlefinger scene and killing Barra was great too... brutal, but great. Joff vs Cersei was great too. The Jon scenes were painfully dumb, the Dragonstone one too. Melisandre was great, though. Robb scenes were great too. The introduction with Sansa and Joff was poor, Bran's line was poor, Tyrion and Shae served... That woman running after Stannis... was that Queen Selyse or Princess Shireen? My other trouble was the landscape. The statues of the seven were poor, Craster's keep was poor too and the King's Road was poor too. The Red Waste was awesome, though I really really hate this new King's Landing... what happened to the old one? Other trouble: WHY did Myrcella age 4 years in some months? Never mind. Bronn was awesome, Ian Glenn (who's nothing like book-Jorah, but I love him just because of that - book Jorah is horrible) was also great. And Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey ROCK. They were SOOOO great. So, all in all, I'd give 7/10 for it...

One of the best episodes. It was even better than I've hoped, there was everything I wasn't disappointed at all we saw everyone and didn't waste time. A perfect start of season 2
