Worst, stupidest o just right down wrong French stereotypes you've heard of?

Je vis à Paris. The worst stereo type is that all Parisian eat frogs. I HATE FROG LEGS!

That they hate Americans

I live in France since 2006, but I'm not french. And before, when I lived in Holland. This were the stereotypes : Big Nose, Fat and short. And it's a little bit true. Not all french people is soo but a lot are very short.

The French being smelly stereotype.
I mean, I'm not French but where did that stereotype even come from? France is a huge manufacturer of perfume the people are anything but smelly!

Well, I've heard many people say the French don't wash themselves and smell bad... which is not true.

I live in Quebec, Canada and I've noticed many people say French are annoying ("chiant") and complicated compared to us. Many people say that but don't seriously think so, they just like to joke about it. But I've also noticed many people being serious about it unfortunately.

I've been to France once and all I can say is that none of these two stereotypes were true: the French are very nice and warm people! And they're clean xD!

That France can't win a single war. And it's from my father who is part French himself.

All French people are rude. Au contraire. When tu make the effort to speak the language and know something about their culture, they are very polite. If tu behave like a jackass, certainly they have reason to be rude in return. I had wonderful experiences in France.

That they are all cowards, that one really ticks me off.
