When tu editar an articulo are tu supposed to lose all the times it was 'liked'?

In the anterior rating system, I don't remember losing ratings when something was edited but then I didn't usually editar my artículos after they were published either. The only reason I'm concerned is that the articulo I published is a work in progress that other fans are helping me to complete, so it's going to be edited frequently.
