Does anyone else have this problem?

There having some encuesta on facebook where if tu enter your name, phone number, etc. they will send tu an iPad and if tu take a survey tu can keep the iPad.
Since all my friends had tried it I figured that I'd hop on the bandwagon and try it too.About ten minutos after that,a message appeared saying that after five days I had finally gotten my iPad,when it wasn't true. Then a message appeared saying that I had made a new adult account on facebook and was looking for sex.
So I guess in short, all I want to know is if anyone else has this problem.

Thanks for tu guy's help.

Yes, everyone has this problem, and it's called phishing and/or direct marketing. Marketing companies amor to have users fill out surveys, because they can then add the users to their direct marketing lists, which are then sold to different web sites, advertisers, et cetera. This is all completely legal. Personal data is big business! tu will, no doubt, start to get más spam e-mail, text messages and phone calls, trying to get tu to buy something o even just click a link. If tu provided your postal address, then tu will also get más basura mail in your mailbox.

What's the difference between direct marketing (what I've just described) and phishing? Phishing is the collection of personal information for the purposes of breaking into your accounts, so that code crackers can write checks from your bank account, withdraw money from ATMs, apply for credit cards using your information, break into your online accounts (like facebook o Fanpop), access files on your computer, apply for car and mortgage loans, etc. This is also big business, but it is illegal.

In general, any time tu see an invitation to fill out a survey online, tu should leave that page. Do NOT fill out surveys unless no personally identifying information is requested. For example, lots of web sites provide "free" video enlaces (I run into this all the time trying to watch "Doctor Who" online) in exchange for filling out a survey. These sites aren't free, they're just getting the money indirectly from you, from selling the information tu entered in the survey. DON'T DO IT.

Also, there are a lot of malicious hacks on Facebook, where posts will appear on your muro looking like your friends publicado them. ALWAYS check directly with your friends before clicking on such links, especially if they are to surveys like tu described. It is very common for scripts to enmascarados as a particular user and post something to all that user's friends' walls in order to spread mischief and/or collect personal information. Check with your friends before clicking on such links: you'll often find that your friends actually had no idea that it was posted.
