Emilia Clarke's father didn't predict big things from her after she chose to be an actress

However the actress\' father didn\'t predict big things from her, and previously joked that she would end up working in a fast food restuarant.

The 28-year-old, who appears on the cover of this month\'s Vogue UK, went on to prove her family wrong, but wasn\'t keen on them watching the earlier episodes of season five due to their raunchy content.

Speaking to the magazine, the brunette beauty said: "When I told my dad I wanted to be an actress, he replied that there was only one line I needed to learn, \'Do you want fries with that?\'"

When asked about the latest series, Emilia said she was thrilled to return to the set

after filming Terminator: Genisys during the break.

The beauty went on to global success in Game Of Thrones

She added: "When I first read the scripts, I was on holiday with my family. I told my dad, you\'re not going to be able to watch the first five episodes.

"Just the smell of the hotel in Belfast made me feel safe. I told myself, forget the big game plan; all I want is to do jobs that make me happy."

Meanwhile, during an interview with Radio Times this week, Emilia praised GoT for creating female characters which "accept our femininity".

The drama, which is broadcast on Sky Atlantic in the UK, has been accused of misogyny because of its depiction of sexual violence.

Emilia also told her parent not to watch the first five episodes due to the raunchy content

The TV star commented: "You start to see all of the women in the show accepting who they are and embodying that with such power that it\'s palpable.

"I think that\'s the beauty of the show: as women, we accept our femininity and take strength from it, as opposed to trying to hide it and behave in a masculine way."

Game Of Thrones season 5 premieres on April 13 on SKY Atlantic.
